Getting to perpetual...journal

Well this is gonna be my attempt to set up a perpetual harvest. I am using my master bath to do it. I have a 600 watt hps hung in the shower for flowering. I have it's hood being air cooled by a fan pulling 140 cfm through it. The area for flowering is 4'9''x2'5''x7'. for right now I have a box fan blowing in there and the temp seems to be staying around 78 to 81 which I can handle for now till I can get a little more ventilation. I am running the bathroom fan which I figure is pulling about 70 cfm from the room. I am still trying to decide whether or not to split the room and veg in there too or just set up a closet in the house for vegging and cloning....I will figure it out by tomorrow.....for now I am not in a big rush. here is a diagram of the room and some pics of what I have set up so far. please lemme know what you guys think...I am about to load it up with the girls here in a few minutes...i will get some pics of that up in a bit......veg and clone area to come shortly

So for veg I have a 150 watt hps and three four foot two tube t12's...they kinda take up some room so I am thinkin I need to find the most effective way to save space with em....

alright...her it is loaded up...lol...look how much room I still have to pack em in there. I also took a few pics of the girls under normal light for you guys to see...they are about ready btw...the two pics of the cola...one with flash one without flash...look how red those hairs are!

alright...well I decided to go with part of the closet in the master bedroom for the veg area....right now it is looking sparse but soon I will have my four orange crush and four more connies in there...I am gonna make a shelf in there so I can raise the light to have a mother or two in there "if I even use this space long enough to get there" and be able to have some clones and smaller vegging plants....it's only temporary till I can get more venting in the bathroom...soon...I probably wont even get to mothers in this space.

so I got two Conquistador seeds in soil today. I mixed some sand in with the potting mix to loosen it up a bit...we will see if it helps out this round. the big girls are doing well today...one is starting to yellow out pretty badly almost overnight...must be about there. the other four babies have been moved to the veg area under 24/0 with the connies. still waiting for two more connie seeds to germ and they will go under there too. I plan on veggin 1-4 for about a month then throwin them into flower. should be good. the clones are still very slowly rooting themselves...still just very small root bumps...couple more days. anywho...here are some pics. I seem to have all my temps under cotrol and ventilation is good so I am happy with this setup for the moment.

Not much of an update but I fed the big girls today...I figure I will wait at least two more weeks before I cut...well one of them...I think the other one has a little sat. in it..it is coming along a little slower. anyway..the yellowing is normal but I figured I would give her one more feeding before i start to flush her out

update on the plants....the large girls are looking good. they seem to be flourishing under the 600 watt. I had two connies pop through the soil today and have eight more that I am trying to germ...they should be in soil within two days. the clones are still going slow and 1-4 have done some funny shit. I topped them all at the second set of cerated leaves....one of them is fine but the other three have an odd growth pattern..it looks a little funny to me...but I am not in the least bit concerned about it. I also threw two seeds into my germ plate from the sativa I just harvested. it was a hermie and I only ended up with two seeds from an ounce and a half of dried cured buds...I think I did pretty well considering. here are some pics to keep you all looking...lol...any input on any of this guys and girls? lemme know

Thanks man...I have been just workin and perfecting conditions...I am doin alright I think. should be lookin good in a few weeks once my cycle starts to really develop

Hello Honkytown. nice looking set-up.
A couple of questions if you don't mind, How long did you veg those girls for? & What light schedule should I be using for my clones? They need a dark period to encourage the root growth right?

the two larger girls were vegged for two months under a 150 watt hps and eight four foot flouros this is how big they were a week before throwing them into flowering. as far as clones go I am giving mine 24/0 light...but the container I have them in a taped up so no light gets to the roots. you just need the roots to be in darkness. also when you get the clones going trim half of all of the leaves off to prevent transpiration....I also have mine about 2 feet from my 150 watter to keep temps warm and a also am spraying them with a water bottle every time I see them starting to dry out. here are the right before flowering pics

I like purple heads....mmm mmm .love em....are you tryin to say they look purple? I think they may....you know whats veird.....since I have had the 600 on them they have started growing again...like lots and lots of white hairs...may make for an interesting harvest. I will get some pics of them up here in a few....and they are coming up on the end of week 8 in flower now....like 2 or 3 days.

What sort of yield do you expect/hope from those girls after drying. 3 to 5 oz maybe?
I am just trying to work out my vegging times etc plus I need to keep them under 5ft (after flowering) and that may even be a bit close to the light 4ft would be better.

word b mad....my 600 is 10 inches from my colas...just have to vent well. realize...I am venting straight from my central ac out here. you can see in my pics so it even cools my light to the 74 to 76 that I keep my house at. As far as plant size goes...well I added a tape measure to a pic of my big girl so you have some perspective. buds from these plant I imagine should yeild about 2 to 2 1/2 oz's from each...the buds are really really rock hard and as you guys can all see are growing lots of new white hairs all over the damn place. here are the pics any other questions feel free to shoot em my way

I agree. 99 percent of the world...I love that. You know the funny thing I find is....if you really care about your plants and are willing to read...you can do pretty well. now I just need to get myself in that .07 percent that is doing perpetual harvest.

No, just trying to make a really lame joke. I like colors.

I am a fan of colors as well...especially in my pot...

So the update is....pretty good. I am thinking one of my girls is gonna be cut in a day or two or htree...I am just trying to hold out as long as possible cause she still seems to be growing under the 600 but she also seems to be dying off now. so....the other big girl looks like she may have a little sat. in her cause she seems to be booming all of a sudden like the last sativa I grew...she is doing it a little sooner though... numbers 1-4 are doing well also. number 3 has done some weird shit since I topped it. it seems like it split but also kept it's main stalk...take a look compared to number four that has only two branches...it's interesting. The connies are doing well...the two in soil are on their second set of leaves and the seeds germming still havent popped for me...well all but one..which barely popped...showed the tip of the taproot and has stayed that way for a day. I am gonna plant it tonight regardless of how it looks when I peek at them in a bit..but here is the update for today. Oh I also found out I live a mile or so away from a hydro store...duh...well...should be able to get some better buds now...hooray! enjoy the pics and lemme know what you think
