Honkeytown, I aspire to grow like you. :)
That's very nice of you to say seamaiden. quite the compliment. I do have to say I dont envy you guys growing outdoors. I used to do it and now that I am indoors I have almost nothing to battle against as far as my plants health...well besides those damn spidermites...but I think my cat drags them in from the bushes in the front yard. I will say though...with that sun you will far outgrow my little girls. :hump:
I will have another update sometime tonight or tomorrow morning. gotta get this house clean. :joint: lol

That's my biggest fear. A friend of mine who lives nearby lost his whole crop to spidermites. He has two dogs, do you think thats how he got them. I have three dogs and one of them always goes in the plant room when I'm in there. If thats a risk I will stop him coming in.

I would stop letting him in there...I dont let my cat in there anymore...besides the spidermites he is a long haired cat and I find his little hair all over my plants from the fan...so since I havent had to pick any hair off my colas...lol...crazy kitty. I wont even go in the back of my house anymore after mowing my lawn and I stopped wearing my shoes in my grow room also...many precautions and the mites have been better. be careful bmad...and if you do get them you can kill em but you gotta use insecticide. in the mean time just shoot em with neem oil as a preventative measure and keep it tidy.:hump:

alright...so who is ready for an update!?.....I know I am...jeez...lol. so. i went to the hydro shop today......got some flowering nutes and some grow bags. The nutes i got are foxfarm bigbloom....made with bat guano and earthworm castings....I also got 15 grow bags for like 2 bucks....I dunno if I will ever buy another pot again if these can take me through a grow...we shall see. I dont really know how the bags are supposed to be used...if they are supposed to be tied up around the plant or if you just fill em and leave em open...but the guy at the shop said I can use them from seed...so I dunno. I will figure it out I guess. the two big girls are doing very well. I am still just trying to keep myself from cutting the shorter one down for as long as I can but I think she is just about done. I could probably cut her now and not be disappointed. the big one is growing white hairs like fuckin mad. I really think it is starting to show some nice looking sativa type of colas. I am sure it has at least two weeks left. I gave her a big drink of the big bloom tonight and we will see how she looks in two days. I cant wait. I am so fuckin excited I dont have to use bullshit nutes anymore. as for 1-4...they are doin great....you can really see in their leaves that I had them under 12/12 for two weeks when they popped out of the soil and then threw them under 24/0....lol...and look at number 3....has anyone seen that before.....the 3 way split? anyway...the connies are coming right along...not much to look at yet but still...mmm mmm. all ten other connie seeds I have had germing for like a week now have not popped. I think I am gonna get rid of em since I already have two that are green above soil. btw...the colas on the big girls are rock solid. YAY:mrgreen:

Wow! Looking GREAT, honkey. :) The way I've seen grow-bags used is just like pots. They're filled with soil and then you let 'er rip.

I got a full 80% germ rate on the Conquistadoras. About the same as my bagseed. However, Flowergurl had once told me that slightly scuffing the seeds before trying to germinate gets a better germ rate. I've done it once, again on the bagseeds of mine (which just fucking WANT to grow, I swear), and with that I got a 100% germ rate. It's damned tough scuffing seeds with sandpaper, though (150 grit, approximately). I also tried it with a nail file and the seeds kept flying all over the place (don't try using tweezers, makes the problem worse, and don't ask me how I know!). :D

lol....that's funny. I am gonna try that and give them two more days...but I am also gonna start a bunch of bagseed a friend of mine gave me. he has been saving seeds for a few years from his dank bags.....so I have about 15 seeds and I cant wait to see how they turn out. this guy always has some great chronic. I just went and looked at my big girls and I think I am gonna take the smaller one in a few hours. I am excited.:joint:

scuffing works well for me too...I take sandpaper, roll it into a tube, rough side in,and slide it into a pill bottle...put your seeds in,pop on the top, and, well, you get the picture...lol

well. came home with a date tonight...I had the growroom all closed up...turns out I am a bit more stealth than I had previously thought...anyway...I just went into the growroom to check on the girls and throw the babies back under the 150 from the 600 and the connies have popped their second set of leaves out...they went from nubs to full leaves overnight....hooray...I am so excited about those babies. I also scuffed the ten connie seeds I have had germin for like a week and put them back in to give em one last shot. I prepped five bags today with the sand and soil I had left and have ten more bags to fill....after your help seamaiden...I totally see they form up just like a pot when filled. I really dunno if I will use pots ever again...at least not for the initial planting. these things are much bigger than my six inch pots when filled....the cost like ten cents each....and I am gonna get a shallow rubbermaid to put them in and they fit right next to one another unlike six inch pots...but...I will have to do an actual grow with them to see how usable they really are...but as of this far I am psyched about them...hopefully I fill em all with seeds by tomorrow night but it will probably just be the five...more pics tomorrow ...or today I guess

Aw, 'twarn't nuthin', honkey. I've just seen the bags used by some friends and I kinda tripped out and they were all, "Oh! These are bags made to grow plants in!" You can't really move them around like pots (I just push them around), and I don't think one could LST with them, but they would be easily ScrOG-able or SOG-able I think.

Hey honkey, let me know how that regerm goes with the connie seeds...I have been thinking about growbags myself, but I have also been thinking about an aeroponics system, matter of fact,I have already been rounding up the parts for it...I just haven't decided...may do one more grow, while I test the aero system...let me know how they work out for ya
