Ghost Strain Orgins and Facts ---Ogre---WTF???

Hello, I have been looking for this strain "Ogre for about a year now. I even when i was in LA went to about 40 shops looking for this strain seeds, clones, dry meds..... i have called around reletlessly trying to find the orgins and facts about this plant. what what i have found makes it more of a mystery then ever..... i swear this isnt a real strain.....

For the love of god plz help!!!

ive just got the ogre from seedsman (joint doctor) and ive been doing my research i think the original strain has gone and we are left with this.

but i see what you mean they are nothing like the plant in the video and ive been looking for that exact plant a a couple months and havent found a thing, has you asked the person who posted the video ?

yea i contacted him and thats what they said they are... just ogre is all the info he knows on it

i've been talking to seedsman and there was a team up of him and SGS for this plant, it came out about 3 years ago and now is stable enough to use.

mines become extremely stocky and short, slight purpling on some of the leaves when seedling also now while in final stages of flowering, this could be down to my Mothers ashes in the soil or the plant but i havent found anywhere anyone saying that it has purple sooo.......

I knew a guy that was running it exclusively. His story was that is was a pheno of sensistar, this was early 2004-5

I have found real deal ogre flowers in dispensaries in the bay area but not for several years.

* Edit - haha! Just saw the links to my old thread. If dude from wash was truthful, my guess is that my guy my have gotten it via the old OG forums. Cuts were flying all over back when people thought the net was safe.

I grew Ogre for a while around 2006-2007. I got it as a clone from harborside in Oakland, Ca, so I guess it was the clone only version one. It was a weird plant, it had big dark green indica leaves and on the base of the fan leaves where the stem connected to the trunk it would grow tiny little budlets. It had good effects when smoked and nice bag appeal but the bud smelled kinda raunchy, like gasoline and vomit or something. I hadnt heard about it much or seen it around since like 2007 but now it seems like its popping up again. I dont know if the seeds that are being sold have anything to do with the clone that was passed around, doesnt sound like it from those links you posted.

has anyone thought maybe its a different Ogre ? as seedsman and SGS are taking the credit for this plant also on their website they seem to be taking credit for creating it (https://forum.seeddepot.nl/showthread.php?4946-SGS-and-Joint-Dr) i know it was about a long time ago due to the video on youtube of 'Massive Alice' which is rumoured to be Ogre but every thing about it is much different than the one i am growing my self. there only seems to be the auto of this about as well, plus im getting very mixed views on what the plant actually is which leads me to think the one i have now is different.

I've heard of this strain years ago, but never actually seen it.

With a name like "ogre" its probably a pretty safe bet that there are multiple different things that have been called it over the years.
