Global Warming is a Myth, Rush Limbaugh said so!!!

That's right Rush figured it out!!! The Polar Vortex is a hoax put forth by the liberal media. By this line of thinking I deduce that science must be liberal? I can't believe when I was a kid I actually liked this guy, guess I wasn't listening to well, teachers always said I had a listening issue as does my wife.

It is a myth, When I was in Horticulture classes there was study done (Not popular because it contradiced everything people tell us.

A eco dome was built to mimic earth on a small scale and they tried to "warm up the planet" all the vegetation, trees, flowers, plants, grass went into a dormant stage and lowered the temp them selves. Test were also done to try to "cool the planet down" The plants went into over drive working and were able to raise the temperature. Now it was not a huge difference but earth with a 3 degree change in thermal heat can cause chaos with weather.

Point is our environment with plants, vegetation and mycelium keeps us in check. Why so worried? Life is beautiful, lets enjoy it now ! It may be the only time we have left.

So the more plants we have, the better our planet !

I'm not worried at all this is just a hot button for many (I married a environmental scientist) in fact I'm not sure I believe in global warming really, well it's more that I don't really bother myself with worrying about global warming. That said you can't argue that that haze above any large city is good for the environment? We won't really know if global warming exists for probably 1000 years, the data pool we have to work from is really small and a lot of the evidence could be argued as either natural weather patterns or coincidence.

I don't think anyone is denying the planet's climate is changing, it's whether or not man has a significant part in it and can we fix it.

A while back I read an article from a climatologist who did a study that was funded by the government, he mentioned how difficult it was getting the funding to study natures affects on climate change. He stated that something like $92 out of $100 from our government went to funding research on human causes to climate change.

I'm one of the people that believe there's no question that man is having an impact on the earth.

But consider what happens when
more CO2 is released from outside of the natural carbon cycle – by burning fossil fuels. Although our output of 29 gigatons of CO2 is tiny compared to the 750 gigatons moving through the carbon cycle each year, it adds up because the land and ocean cannot absorb all of the extra CO2. About 40% of this additional CO2 is absorbed. The rest remains in the atmosphere, and as a consequence, atmospheric CO2 is at its highest level in 15 to 20 million years (Tripati 2009). (A natural change of 100ppm normally takes 5,000 to 20,000 years. The recent increase of 100ppm has taken just 120 years).

http://www.sciencemag.org/content/326/5958/1394.abstract

Additional confirmation that rising CO2 levels are due to human activity comes from examining the ratio of carbon isotopes (eg ? carbon atoms with differing numbers of neutrons) found in the atmosphere. Carbon 12 has 6 neutrons, carbon 13 has 7 neutrons. Plants have a lower C13/C12 ratio than in the atmosphere. If rising atmospheric CO2 comes from fossil fuels, the C13/C12 should be falling. Indeed this is what is occurring (
Ghosh 2003). The C13/C12 ratio correlates with the trend in global emissions.

And I'm not.
I favor leaving out the many political components involved AGW.

PRINCETON, NJ (January 3, 2011)—S. Fred Singer said in an (NAS) that “the number of skeptical qualified scientists has been growing steadily; I would guess it is about 40% now.”

Singer, a leading scientific skeptic of anthropocentric global warming (AGW), is an atmospheric physicist, and founder of the Science and Environmental Policy Project (SEPP), an organization that began challenging the published findings of the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) in the 1990s. SEPP established the Leipzig Declaration, a statement of dissent from the 1997 Kyoto Protocol that has been signed by over one hundred scientists and meteorologists.
Asked what he would like to see happen in regard to public opinion and policy on climate change, Singer replied,
I would like to see the public look upon global warming as just another scientific controversy and oppose any public policies until the major issues are settled, such as the cause. If mostly natural, as NIPCC concludes, then the public policies currently discussed are pointless, hugely expensive, and wasteful of resources that could better be applied to real societal problems.

What is a scientist anyway???

Someone who has been taught the scientific principal and critical thinking??

Why are scientist somehow enshrined as people who know more than anyone else?

It is the same as the bullshit brainwashing people are being put through.

The government has convinced us you cannot trust your neighbor to be able to take care of himself unless he works for the government. Then somehow he is a genius who can fix all problems.
