I disagree about canna being head and shoulders above the rest.
I've used canna for years I've no problem with it but it needs 35/40% perlite.
Canna doesn't "need" perlite, quite the opposite actually...it drains and holds oxygen well enough on it's own, adding perlite just robs the roots of space to grow. Quit spreading bad information.

Decent but you would have gotten much larger colas if you had added perlite. I dunno if you're trying to brag or what but that plant is good but honestly not that great lol. I'm sure there will be people to come around and show you what a real cola looks like :D

I've seen air cages advertised for use with coco and the oxidizer what's unusual about running air stones?
Cannabis targeted companies would never sell anything that doesn't work. How many have you seen in practice? The idea is not new, yet never caught on. You could use hydrogen peroxide or just aerated water to get oxygen to your roots without drying out your coco, which is mostly air anyway.

I used coco and perlite for years. Then I switched to straight coco. The plants didn't grow any different. I didn't do an actual side by side but I didn't have increased yields when I was using perlite. If people want to use perlite then that's their choice. But it isn't needed and DOES NOT increase plant growth or yields. It's an unnecessary amendment that many are convinced they need. It doesn't help that sites like coco for cannabis tell people they need to add perlite and many seem to think that everything on that site is accurate. In fact the two most common cannabis growing websites people always link to are full of bad information because they're made by stoners that have pieced together bits and pieces of information good and bad that they have found on the internet. It's not as if the people running those websites have any background in actual plant science. More like broscience from some of the information on those websites.

Now back to your arguing. Good day.

Yes i agree with what you are saying, the problem is that none of us wake up with a head full of knowledge we have to learn it through experience.
Maybe its different for others I'm still learning and improving after years of growing.

I'm totally for experimenting. I like Autofire. He can take a ribbing pretty well for being as hardheaded as he is. He's currently running 7.4 EC on vegging plants and we're all waiting two weeks for him to reveal the results.
