It was clear and cold last night. Got down to 34 with a good frost on the truck windshield and windows. Nice today though. We got up to 68F. At 1430 it's partly cloudy, 67F with 32% humidity. Forecast high low of 68/48F with 0% chance of rain today, 10% tomorrow and 70% tomorrow night. 10 day high low of 73/31F with 2 days of possible rain.

Clouds have been building all day. Smokey too, but I guess that is not really weather. We went from 50-72F today. At 1440 it;s cloudy, 71F with 69% humidity. Forecast high low of 72/64F with 80% chance of rain today, 100% tonight and 50% tomorrow. 10 day high low of 74/31F with 4 days of possible rain.

I was up in New York for several days. Sunday the sun came out and locals were smiling and just had a bounce in their step. Chinatown was jumping too, plenty of tourists. Times Square was busy too, and still we heard the voices of internatioal travelers, but outside of Chinatown we didn't see Asian groups.

Back in DC now for our version of a cold spell:

At 0930 it is 39°F and we are looking at highs in the low 40s for the next few days. The real issue is overnight lows dropping into the 20s. Bottom line, it is still winter.

This weekend we are expecting another warm spell with highs in the low 50s.

Lack of Chinese tourist is costing everyone. But the beating hotel and airline stocks took this week was based on fears of what might happen. Chinatowns in big port cities are our weak link. That, or some sick guy sneezing on a laptop keyboard and an hour later it's loaded in the belly of an airplane. It just takes one.

We went from 36 to 55F today. A little bit of frost on the truck windshield this morning, but pretty nice this afternoon if you could find someplace out of the wind and in the sun. At 1630 it's sunny, 54F with 35% humidity. Forecast low of 31F with 10% chance of rain tonight, 0% tomorrow and tomorrow night. 10 day high low of 79/31F with 2 days of possible rain.

Yes. They just started to flower. I think they needed time to adjust after transplant. Now they’re taking off. Hopefully I can make it to mid April. I don’t mind chopping prematurely because I’m also going to run some during the normal season.

Yea, I would rather have bud a week or two early than no bud at all. The cold got me good this go round. 23F was enough to cash everything I had out. I have a few younger replacements, but they will be pushing it to finish, plus they are not as big.

How many hours daylight you got April 15th? 13:10 here. And on May 1st 13:44. If I can make it to May 1st I’ll be a happy camper.

4/15 will be 12 hours 58 minutes. 5/1 is 13 h 24 m. So I'm a little south of you, and can go a little longer. Other than maybe one Jack Herer x Shit/skunk f2, I don't have any sativa heavy strains going, so I should be alright. Last year's full season seeds that did the best were planted in April and May. So I have a while to sit and twiddle my thumbs.

Nice. I want a greenhouse but way to early on the east coast. What is the range for your greenhouse? How cold is it getting overnight?

My gh isn’t a true one. It has mesh sides so it can still get pretty cold in there. It’s 46 this morning. It’s gotten down to 32-36 I think the week after I planted. Heavy mulch and oscillating fans blowing prevent frost from forming at those temps. The roof of the greenhouse was frozen, but the plants were fine.

Had a light frost again this morning, even though it only got down to 41F. Pretty nice out, if you can catch a break with the wind. Our high was 67F. At 1535 it's sunny, 66F with 25% humidity. Forecast low of 38F with 0% chance of rain tonight, tomorrow and tomorrow night. 10 day high low of 80/38F with 2 days of possible rain.

Really nice day today. I had an early opening time, so been indoors all day. We went from 37 to 71F. At 1630 it's sunny, 69F with 34% humidity. Forecast low of 47F with 10% chance of rain tonight, 60% tomorrow and 20% tomorrow night. 10 day high low of 78/38F with 4 days of possible rain.

It's a little warmer today. Clouds and some sprinkles this afternoon. We went from 53 to 73F. At 1855 it's mostly cloudy, 66F with 87% humidity. Forecast low of 62F with 40% chance of rain tonight, 30% tomorrow and 90% tomorrow night. 10 day high low of 76/38F with 6 days of possible rain.

It was hot today. Windy as well. There is a big cotton field nearby that just got tilled, and the wind had so much dust in the wrecked longleaf's behind the house it looked like smoke. We went from 63-78F. At 1820 there is light rain, 71F with 87% humidity. Forecast low of 65F with 80% chance of rain tonight, 90% tomorrow and tomorrow night. 10 day high low of 77/38F with 6 days of possible rain. Looks like we will get a few inches the next 48 hours. (by the time I'm ready to post, the rain is coming down in buckets now)
