We had a really nice few days, well, 36-hours. This morning we woke to rain.
At 0820 it is 44°F. On the positive side it should warm - maybe into the low 50s.
Expecting rain now for the rest of the week:

It was hot today. I got in a few miles on the Florida Trail, and I was sweating balls. We went from 54 to 78F. At 1740 it's cloudy, 69F with 81% humidity. Forecast low of 63F with 20% chance of rain tonight, 40% tomorrow and 20% tomorrow night. 10 day high low of 78/39F with 4 days of possible rain.

I saw a bunch of trail maintainers at the trail head over the weekend, so I went over and checked out what they had got done. The trail is all clear except for one damaged bridge. The campsites took a beating though, and they haven't been cleaned up.

Chilly here in NoCo; a bit of sun earlier, then cloudy and the odd flurry.

Sister was saying today that her crew is having a very snowy time in the Denver burbs. They have a parking lot to deal with, so bought a snow blower for the first time. It's a bitch to keep the lot clear, but the bigger problem is folks don't go out to get their hair and makeup done in a snow storm.

Speaking of weather, Sister is going to Key West for a week.

The closest I get to Key West these days is my hot tub.

I've never been. Sister's Colorado Springs buddy is down there for the month. She owns a cleaning company that does offices all over the plains and mountain states and has a good staff. She has had two bouts of cancer and lives life like a short timer. Sister has gone to many resorts over the years and slept on her couch.

That's called making a good life a priority!

Since I last reported on today's weather, it has started dumping hard. Gotta shovel the path to the hot tub again, darn it!

We got down to the river house before the rain and got in a little walking. The wife was having a bad leg day, so not much more than a mile. It was 76F before the rain. Dropped down to 65F as soon as the leading edge of the front came though. There was a little hard rain, but it was light drizzle most of the day. At 1930 it's mostly cloudy, 58F with 84% humidity. Forecast low of 46F with 70% chance of rain tonight, 0% tomorrow and tomorrow night. 10 day high low of 78/36F with 3 days of possible rain.

We have been in a wet and warm pattern for a few days. Rained yesterday and some last night. I got sprinkled on twice walking last night. At 1640 it's cloudy, 69F with 82% humidity. Forecast low of 62F with 20% chance of rain tonight, 20% tomorrow and 40% tomorrow night. 10 day high low of 76/33F with 5 days of possible rain.

I talked to my lady ranger friend. Looks like one of the primitive campsites at my local state park will be opened back up this week. I still need to seam seal my new {several months old, but hasn't been used} hiking tent. If I go, I'll use my tarp and bug net tent most likely.

Spent some time in Philadelphia. They get much colder than we do. Saturday morning the city of brotherly love threw in a breeze that made 15°F feel like 8°. Back in DC this afternoon it was 53° and sunny and really nice.

This morning's low in NoCo was 1F. It warmed up nicely, though, into the upper 30s by afternoon.

It's to the point where I'm rooting for more cold weather, because we're already seeing so much less of it due to climate change.

Our TV weatherman says we've been 4-5 degrees above average all winter.
