when has our current president shit all over of the constitution? was it when he went to war without full authorization of congress based on lies? or was it when he enacted the patriot act? or was it when he made torture legal? or was it when he authorized the use of drone surveillance domestically? ( Bush did these things. Where were you when he did this? ) Racist.

ZOMG everybody run!

Or maybe they are legitimately using the ammo? We use ammo all the time. The type of ammo order is apparently "standard issue" from several sources upon googling the situation. Any time anyone is issued a fire arm for law enforcement purposes I would like them to have thousands of practice rounds used up before they ever have to use a round in action. For every bullet used in a real life and death situation I hope their are thousands of wasted practice rounds that helped prepare that officer to be calm and accurate during crunch time.
i agree with guy here. In the marines when we would go on a "gun run" which is practice shooting from our helo's we would take 20,000 rds of APIT ammo per plane and just blast it all.

So the government has been buying up all the damn ammo huh?

My walmart has been sold out for months. I literally bought 75% of walmarts 9mm inventory today. 150 rounds 9mm FMJ.

But on a serious note.... The Government is smart. They stockpile ammo just like everyone else that is adamant about guns. Buy it when it's cheap and plentiful, then don't buy it for a long time. Ammo is scarce as hell right now. I bet they got a sweet deal on 450,000,000 rounds.

Also, hollow points aren't implemented because they shred organs. They are used because they don't over penetrate. When you hit a target, it stops inside the target and doesn't hit the baby in the stroller a quarter mile a way behind the target. :)

Yay second amendment!

Hollow points are mainly used by the military. They don't expand hardly @ all upon impact on a target. Here if you hunt you're not allowed to use H.P. ammo. Reason why; militay uses H.P.is beacuse, you end up with more wounded soldiers & it takes about 2-3 people to help a wounded soldier, which is why they don't allow you to hunt with H.P. ammo, over here.

Next thing you know you will say the US will export manufacturing overseas, buy back the manufactured products on credit knowing full well they do not plan to pay the manufacturers back knowing that forcing the US to pay would cause global economic melt down. And people say the US government doesn't know what it's doing.... please nigga.

Not correct. The Geneva Convention limits military to using non-expanding rounds which means FMJ. Hunters use almost exclusively expanding (soft- and hollowpoint) ammo. cn
