Government Waste Could Pay For Healthcare

Eliminating government waste could pay for those who cannot afford healthcare.

Yet far left progressive whine about how unfair it is to let Americans who cannot afford health insurance go without healthcare, they think only the federal government can fix it.

If the federal government already has the money to pay for these poor people but choose to squander it on programs they feel are more important than the health of it's citizens then I ask, why should the tax payers foot the bill?

For reasons that defy sanity, various elements of the government have spent $3 million for research on video games; $2.6 million to train Chinese prostitutes to drink responsibly; a whopping $500 million on a program that would, among other things, try to figure out why five-year-olds “can’t sit still” in a kindergarten classroom; and grants such as $1.8 million on a “museum of neon signs” in Las Vegas, Nevada.

-- Sanity does not apply to the $2 billion given annually to U.S. farmers to not farm their land. Don’t even ask about the Defense Department. It has long been famous for waste.

While all this has been going on, in 2010 the Office of Management and Budget determined that $47.9 billion was spent on fraudulent or improper payments in Medicare and the problem still hasn’t been fixed, though the cost is now up to $62 billion. There’s been $2.7 billion in fraud and mismanagement of the food-stamp program. And on, and on, and on.

There is substantial evidence available to all with eyes and ears that the POTUS has, at the very least, perpetrated fraud on a grand scale.
And just remember that those who cling desperately to the words of this deeply flawed chief executive really have the most to lose by their blind faith in this disgraceful huckster.

And yet, these are the very same people who gleefully called GWB a liar.

Waste, fraud and rampant corruption have been amplified under our bystander POTUS...remember he knows nothing about any of the simmering scandals steaming up his feckless administration.

Yikes.

I would rather see them spend a half billion dollars to study the size of an ant penis than spend it on blowing up a village on the other side of the earth just to rebuild it again.

And if the government waste did pay for health care, there would be a shit load of waste in that too. Its just way too big to keep track of itself or to be held accountable for anything.

I totally agree, it boggles my mind that others think government is the solution.
More that likely, those that do probably have no skin in the game anyway so it's not wasting their hard earned tax dollars.

Yeah, the FTC should shut him down.

Anyone see a class-action lawsuit over this? I mean, the fraud is documented, it's a slam dunk case if someone takes it up. I'll go out on a limb and say IF there is a class-action it would be followed quickly by tort-reform.

I believe Adoff Hitler was the first to come out with free medicare for Jews and Gypsies and such. I suspect the same strategies were involved when some 3000 people obtained free passage to America on the Titanic. Hitler also was the first with gun control. I relied on doctors at one time and if I wouldn't have studied and taken matters into my own hands i'd be dead. I've even learned to fill a broken tooth.

Perhaps his second term victory was a blessing in disguise and Justice Roberts decision as well.
I believe Obama's treasured legacy is now in peril.

There is waste, it is problematic, and it imperfect. To set a standard that is unachievable is wasteful and calling out who and what is worth our taxes is bullshit....as a country we should make those decisions. Fraud by abusers of govt programs is simply assholes stealing, bad people but they are here get used to it. This is a sorry state of affairs and people are struggling, it is a real problem and the collective should help. I just want to separate the issue from the crying about it.

Don't be mistaken, there is no crying here. Being fed up and wanting the government I send my tax dollars to be more efficient and accountable is my constitutional right and duty.
To say get used to it and sweep it under the rug is the very reason we are in this despicable mess.

In order for a collective to work, the whole collective has to contribute, I don't see this happening.

The way i see it, when it comes to getting something free from the government, progressives are the first in line to sign up and get theirs.
When it's time to pay for it, they're MIA.

I am saying to get used to people who abuse. Frauds exist and I am tired of being treated like one. I AM disabled and I contribute in many ways to the culture we live in,.....for nothing. The collective to work needs to re-distribute the wealth as well. You speak as if corporate welfare does not exist, and that progressives are deadbeats, and all this other condescending language for what? You going to make me medicine so I can pay and become valid in your opinion. I am the one crying and then kicked by people who have no emotional scope. I'd gladly trade your financial concerns for my own. Get it clear, when we have nothing including health.....this will turn around quick. The conservatives are playing with fire.....mark my words.

Whats wrong with teaching Chinese prostitutes to drink responsibly? Listen, we voted for the legislatures. Us, the people. Vote. Increase your political efficacy. Our government is You and Me.
