Grapefruit Haze/Rocklock 400 watt Cabinet Grow

UPDATE day 22 of 12/12 flowering...


so everything is still going great, decided to give all the girl a 3 teaspoon dose of flora nova bloom with a heavy dose of koolbloom powder...i want these bitches to exxxxxxplode in the next week,lol... the LA CHEESE is looking so beautiful and the grapefruit haze is making a huge top, i tried to take pics of it but no matter what they just look leafy, to be honest the silver diesel isnt impressing me so much, i mean shes budding and all but she is a lil too sativa looking for my taste, hopefully she will have the bomb nugs, well see....next grow will definitely be a tried and true guaranteed excellent 3 pack...dutch passion blue berry, a blue venom clone maybe, since i know shes a great great strain and i dunno yet, im a lil iffy about using up precious space to grow a attitude seeds freebie....heres some pics!

Damn bro that shit is lookn great for 3 wks. That cheese is exploding with budsites, so is the grapefruit. I have to agree on thé diesel on the leafy part, but I bet in a few shell have tons of bud. Have u grown many sativa or sativa dominant strains? Like look the bomb for sure. Damn its makin me hope I can upgrade my light soon

big nature!...whats up buddy, you know what homie, i actually havent had much exp. with sative or s.dominant strains but i kinda dont like what i see, she seems like a definite outdoor plant...i love how the LA CHEESE grows , almost identical to the blue venom, tall and sorta lanky but a ton of budsites and not a whole lot of leaves, makes for awesome canopy penetration IMO, plus when the lanky branches go outward you just tiewire them to the main stalk and bam...it looks like a rose bouqet... i am cool with the christmas tree G. haze but man im tellin ya, this fuckin silver diesel has turned into a sative bush, lol...plus not to mention the nugs are very leafy and dont have the pistel clusters i like to see... no biog deal tho...i think ill get a lot of weed off this batch and next round is gonna be the DP blueberry, and 2 of the best clones they got @ the dispenasry...also im gonna veg the 3 i decide to flower and also ill veg the freebie seed as well, i just cant flower her cause shell get too big...the good part is that my homie will flower her for me and ill jsut ask him to bust me off like a 1/4 or 1/2 ounce....

Hey maz. Started from the beginning of your thread, lookin real nice. How the hell do you keep them so short ? I posted mine- https://www.rollitup.org/indoor-growing/439301-8th-week-lookin-good.html , This is 3 1/2 weeks in flowering, look at the difference. Is it the strain- maybe sativa. From what I think you said is sativa grows tall. I'm real new to this. Back a ways you were talkin about the technical crap most newbies do, been there and half of it I didn't use this grow. This is my second, the first was a disaster, I hope this goes better. The only thing I'm missing from your journal is the feeding, when you do it, what your using, how much and when. Do you think you can help me out with that? How long do you veg for? Sorry for all the questions Bro, you just got me pumped up, lol I have a lot of them, but I'll stop. I'm also using a 400 watt mh/hps

Hell yea bro. The lemon skunk I got is 60% sativa so it says and I believe. I don't like the looser buds on sativas, I like the dense candy nugs of the veneno. I can't wait to watch ur grow from seed. It'll be sweet to c the famous blueberry. Thanks for the compliments bro. The rhino has a couple burns now but it was my fault I believe but still she's beautiful. I started some lst on her and my vision of it is gonna work out great I believe. Ill have to PM u some update pics of it. I have a g13 skunk in dwc, its female but not the best. Gonna top her and try to straighten her out. Sorry I'm ramblin bout my shit bro. I'm definitely gonna attempt to upgrade real soon after these r done. Ull definitely be the first to kno when I do. p.s. Got the kool bloom, fed with 2 waterings and I'm liking the blow up I c +rep for recommending it

hey depot, its all good bro...im just sitting here drinkin a beer, smokin a lil and gettin ready for work tomorrow, ill help you out for sure bud...as far as how i keep mine so short its quite simple, they arent as short as you might think, lol, just super full...those plants are 26 inches tall from soil to tops, but to answer your question more directly i keep my light literally like 7 inches away from the tops,if your light is any farther IMO they will stretch to get closer (they think the light is the sun and plants are living things, they wanna live and thrive so they grow tall to be closer to the life source) everyone says keep it farther but i dont, as long as i dont see crispy, curled up leaf edges i run it close as possible, and i switch the lights to 12/12 at about 3 or 4 weeks, usually 3...ALWAYS think the plants will for sure double sometimes triple in heighth...ofcourse its always gonna depend on the strain but u can pretty much manipulate what the plants do as well...but then again, depot, dont get misinterpreted, my one plant that looks like its exploding all over is the LA CHEESE, shes a special strain, she flowers extremely fast and pops nuggets all over even faster, on the other end of the spectrum is my silver diesel, shes the thin leaved spindly (not budding a whole lot) looking one bushy looking one, so obviously strain has something to do with it...sativa doesnt necessarily grow taller, per say, just different, indica plants are fat and stout and ridgid (most of the time) sativas have thin stalks and real thin leaves (most of the time)....and when i say that IMO newbies mess up from all the technical stuff is that they read journals, and all these comments and things on here from people who (IMO) take it too far. maybe they yield more, maybe their smoke is better, but i dont want a frankenstein plant pumped with .00001 of this and .0004 of that, too technical. heres ALL i do, straight up...pen and paper,lol.jk...

(regular tap water the whole time...)
i get the clones and for the first 3 or 4 weeks i veg them, in fox farm ocean forest soil with no nutrients at all the whole veg, no root accelrator, or hormones, nothing, they stay super green and grow super fast, thats good enuff for me...for this stage i keep the metal halide conversion bulb 38,000 lumens like 8-12 inches away

as soon as i go into flower i give them each a teaspoon of flora nova bloom nutrients mixed with a gallon of water, and a 1/4 teaspoon of koolbloom...i do this for 3 feedings (every 3 or so days or when the pots are ultra light)
the flora nova has a 4-8-7 npk ratio...that means it is hiogher in p and k...p=phosphate k=potassium...these two elements boost the plant into flowering (dont ask me how, lol)
and the koolbloom has a 2-45-28 ratio which is the equivolent of a kick in the fuckin ass of p and k as u can see, haha...this is what really makes them go boom IMO, koolbloom suggest u only use it once in first week and last 2 weeks but i just do it every other watering...beginning till flush
ok so pretty much every three watering i up it a teaspoon of flora nova bloom until i hit 3 teaspoons and then i stay there until flush. so pretty much im no guru when it comes to growing but i have good results i think. im a total new grower as well, dont worry, keep it simple, the less you fuck with it and trip about every little thing, the easier it will become...

u know what, if the dispensary doesnt have BOMB clones i reeeally wanna get that pineapple chunk we were talkin about (or something similar) in a fem seed but im so fuckin iffy on doin my whole grow on 2 seeds and 1 clone....AHHH decisions. seeds = bomb variety clones = headstart/guaranteed strong females

I should still let it sit in a bucket for a couple of days shouldn't I. My ph outta the tape is just a 7. See there I go with the technical bullshit lol. Thanks for the response on that bro, that was fuckin great. Dude defiantly stay with the clones man. I don't even know what the hell cloning consist of, but that is surely the way to go. Fuckin ordering seeds from some fuckin bank half way around the world-and payin ridiculous prices forum to boot- is for the fuckin birds bro. One day I will learn how to clone, but right now I'm just tryin to get through my first successful grow, if you know what I mean.My first one was a flop. Yea I feel ya bro, I'd be iffy about it to if I were accustomed to clones. There's always a risk one won't germ, or hermie, or some shit. But its hard to turn from that pineapple chunk lol. I wouldn't be too worried tho, most banks r pretty dependable imo. Just some strains have so many phenotypes because the bank wants to sell seeds before they have a more stable, maybe 2 pheno strain. Ull grow this blueberry, it'll be the most dank shit ever and ull be ordering seeds all the time lol

hey depot, yea i looked at your journal, it honestly looks fine to me, mayyybe the plants could be a little less stretched out but thats no big deal, maybe try keeping your light a little closer and they wont stretch as much... IMO means in my opinion.... also every strain is gonna stretch as soon as you go into flowering for the first 3 weeks of 12/12 from my experience, it will slowly come to a halt of stretching and start flling in, all those little budsites you have will fill in alot more than you think, everywhere that has the white hair little afro looking things (pistel clusters) are gonna grow and eventually link up (hopefully)...and the fan leaves on the bottom parts of the clone grown plants ALWAYS get curled up and die, i think it has something to do with those leaves just being associated with the "old" plant, the new growth from the day you put the clone into soil should all stay vigorous and green, mine do....my bottom leaves also fall off...i onl;y use regular tap water cause i live in california and our water out here is perfect in my area, i tested it once at the beginning and i think it was like 6.8ish, i never really had to b uy ph down or up so i dunno... i at first only fed the plants distilled water but that shit got expensive so i just started using sink water and nothing changed from what i could see, ive heard of people letting the tap water sit for the chlorine to evaporate but i honestly just dont have the time/patience to have jugs of water sitting around, these plants are very thirsty and that takes up too much time n effort... keep me updated bro

Hey maz, thanks bro for the advice. I guess I better invest in an air cooled system. Yea your right. my cabinet is pretty big so the space stays around 82- 84 degrees. If I take the light any lower it gets really hot at the tops of the plant and I'm afraid i'll burn em. The tops give the most bud and I don't want to burn em up, yea know. I'm going to give them a dose of molasses the next watering and see if that will give them some life back. Dude one day I will grow like you. O and I replied to you in my post. I probably do't know how to use this web site, lol I'm not very good on a computer, lol

I never really flushed before I went to 12/12. I really didn't use very much nutes during veg. Do you think I need to flush now, and if so will it hurt them doing this at this stage of the game, stress and all. I just watered yesterday morning, should I wait till it needs watered again before I flush. Just thinkin about stress and all. I'm probably thinkin way to much in this. Thats cool as fuck you helpin me out and all, don't think I don't appreciate, cause I do.
