Green Crack 2x1000w 4x8 tray Rockwool grow

Nice setup! I grew in RW for years till I discovered that Hydroton in buckets in the same setup actually
gave me better results. Its alot more forgiving (RW is easy to oversaturate, so minimal - infrequent watering).
Not to mention what do do with all the used RW, the expense, PH adjusting/pre treatment, etc. If you even
SLIGHTLY over saturate your cubes and don't allow them to dry out some in a flood tray, you are depriving
the plants of oxygen, so only water and inch deep or so on the cubes, and halfway up a slab, only as often
as it takes - allowing them to get pretty light and dry. Also Dont water at night !

Do yourself a favor and throw one of your next clones in a 10" square bucket with hydroton - you'll be amazed !
I see hydroton alot. Forgiving or not I've seen all my friends leave it. The systems are consumer friendly for sure. It's really the only turn key hydro set up out there. Yield fixes all...just win baby! All my mentors passed on hydroton about 5-6 years ago after using it for two years.

But I don't know shit. I just see a 4x8 yielding 3+ P's every 90 days and follow along. 12 plants.

Isnt green crack real short. Im not sure about White Widow. Everybody loves flipping that switch. Are you swtiching straight to flower nutes or any type of transition

Those white widows know how to grow.. I dont know what the exact genetics of your strain is, but mine took 10 weeks or 70 days to full mature. Not sure on that green crack. The white widow will also grow to a decent size and get extremely crystally, enjoy..

I yanked the GC and cut up a few to make clones. It's now 10 Dutch Passion WW. Based on my outdoor grow I think these will probably tripple in height. So I'll have 10 3ft+ WW's. Since my last WW was outdoors pinning down when it really started to flower is a lil difficult. But I put it outside July 1 and it grew to about 3.5ft and it wasn't topped. These are topped and were flipped today. I think they'll be 3fters when it's all said and done.

Yes they are growers for sure. The clones from my outdoor rooted in 5days. They just grow.

If I have 10 3fter's with anything close to what I had outdoors it will be a great grow. I hit 6oz on that outdoor plant in 100 days. Granted the sun is stronger but the initial veg is never 24/0 or even 18/6. If I hit 4oz per I'd be stoked. Lofty expectations but right now these are ahead of my outdoor based on photos. My two weeks of veg have produced what took a month outdoors. These are far more bushy too. Probably from topping.

We shall see. I only really need to hit 1.5p's to meet my needs. You would think 2.5oz per plant is attainable.

I really wish I had the 12 plants though. Dude promised 12 for the next grow. He might veg those for me so I just plop them on the slabs as 1ft bushy girls and put them right into flower. It would save me two weeks on each turn. Over a year I think that's like an extra harvest.

Random thoughts...

I would just add a few plants in when you can get them, and give yourself a second harvest........I totally understand how you would want to keep it more simple. I am in over my head, cant wait for it to be over and the next chapter begin....

The ultimate plan is to double up this set up and have two trays and just be a flower room. One harvest every 45 days. Then I just drop them in at any time and not worry about what needs to veg while this needs to flower and so on.

Definately two strains if I add another tray. I have a strain up north I wanna bring down. It's done at around 60 days. To grow in the same tray and not lose too much time waiting for another strain to mature, I want my harvest times to be within days if they're gonna share a tray.

Otherwise it's gonna just be one strain per tray.. I really like this strain. I gets you hella high...

Yea I haven't gotten into any f that.... need to. Like the idea of doubling. Doubling would be sick. I have tripled my setup since first setting itup within 3 monthes ago..... but now I have some good equipment and ready to rock on... Looks good, Im stoked for this

i would love to grow this plant where did u get the seeds from??/
They are from Dutch Passion Seed Co. Been around a while actually. I have to tell you though, even when I clone them they don't look like these. A buddy of mine takes care of me. He makes the best clones I've seen...little trees.

But you can get the seeds from Dutch Passion and make your own if you like.

Haven't seen my grow in almost a week. The wife has checked in on them once a day while I'm gone. I'm skerrred what I will find.

Actually, a buddy went by today and said they look great. Can't wait to see them manana.

Ok...

Lots of pics. Been gone a week and haven't put up new pics in a while. I'm pretty stoked on how fast these girls grow. The rockwool and 2x1000w really seems to pump out solid growth. I really need to address some dead corners on my tray. I've got a few leggy branches on the outer edges of the tray where there is no wall. I've got some cheap but neat ideas to play with in a few days. The overall plant density isn't the same as outdoor. That sun cannot be replaced. Honestly, I think I could run 3x1000w over a tray . My hoods are super cool and the room never breaks 78. Granted it's not late July either.

Tomorrow I clean the res and bump up the nutes. I backed off big time last week.

Ten days ago...I wanna say i dropped them in on the 10th of Nov and vegged two weeks then flipped them to flower on the 24th. I'm at three weeks from transplant.

This afternoon...

You can see my shady corner on the left :finger:

Inside the tray shot. I sent a pic like this to a buddy a week ago. He gave me shit for my sloppy cuts into the slabs. Fucker :bigjoint: Those chunks on the closest block are from a mosquito dunk that deteriorates in the water. I found a few wings in the room because my door isn't 100% sealed. I don't need any critters growing in my RW.

Been flowering for a week...

Nice beefy stalk...

After 12 hours of lights and watering these are the numbers. It's nice that my dehumidifier and this chingas line up on RH. Dehumifier is set at 50.

I'd say the reason your friend is able to make little tree clones is because it looks like he takes tops or well branched cuttings. I like that method myself, although they can sometimes take a little longer to root than smaller less "woody" cuts. I'm curious as to how you're irrigating. I see a black tube circling the tray, but I don't see any additional lines? I'm running almost the identical setup myself, but I'm using 2 3X6 trays, and use two 1000 lights on an LR5 mover. I'm a big fan of moving the lights, so that you don't get shady spots, and have more tolerance when it comes to dealing with heat issues- mostly during summer months.

Lookin' great man!

Looks great

I will be watching this one for sure

Great job

I want to handle the power srip and get those cables off the floor. It's easier to do a quick clean up of the floor with them mounted to the rack. Co2 needs to be up high so if I'm motivated tomorrow I might change the water in my res, hang the power strip and move the Co2 to the ceiling.

We'll see...
