Green light during dark cycle

No. The plants actually reflect green light, whereas it absorbs all other colours of the spectrum. This is why the plants appear green :)

Many growers with large rooms use green lamps around the space for when they need to do work at lights-off.

If you're still concerned, a piece of black electrical tape works wonders to cover the LED.

Ok I thought so but I put tape over the little light and now the whole sensor glows slightly and I do know know if I should wrap it up all the way and might not read the co2 level properly

Actually green light is mostly used for photosynthesis just not as efficiently as other parts of the spectrum.

I have a co2 meter with a green diode , I just cut a small square of aluminium and taped it over it.

Yea I did that now the whole probe glows

This is the co2 sensor with the tape over the led light the whole thing glows internally just didn’t know if it was enough to effect the plants while on dark cycle

You should be able to cover most of it, just leave the vents open. Aluminum foil is great for blocking light.

The plants do use green light...it will depend on the brightness(LUX) and length of time its on whether or not it influences anything.
Small head lamp on for a few minutes more then likely won't do anything, but put say a 20 watt green light in the room and the plant(s) will more then likely stay in veg. (doesn't affect autos the same of course)

It’s a small led power light always on

Why even worry about co2 at lights off? Unless of course if the unit shut off everything resets, would it make sense to put it on the light timer?

Ya if it was me...I'd try to open it and remove the led or if you cant open it then maybe some tape and black sharpie marker, but I'm not sure if sharpie will throw off your probe sensitivity or not because of the fumes they emit.
I wonder how it would work if it was put into a tube of some kind.
Best of luck tho. :P

Don't worry about it. It's a non issue. The power strip in my tent has a small red light in the switch. Been in there for years not one plant has given a damn.

I’ve used a green led light with no problems..only way I can see if I had to go in the tent.. but I don’t leave it on long..

And as for green light it doesn't effect the plants at lights off. I used to have several mounted to the wall when I was growing in a basement for when I needed to do stuff after lights out. Green light will not interrupt the light cycle. They even sell green lights for the specific purpose of working around your plants during lights out. Here's a nifty headlight.

So I too put foil tape over most of the green leds in my room. I don't know if it was necessary or not but I had enough of em on different equipment it didn't feel as dark in there as it should be to me. If I can see to get around the room from the green glow that's too much to me.

Although I doubt it would really effect anything I just didn't wanna take that chance. Now don't get me wrong I have way too many to tape them all and didn't feel it was necessary but did tape the brightest ones.

I mean if I have to work in my room during dark period I use a green head lamp, so I know Its not a big deal, but I didn't want the whole dark period lit up enough to see 20+ ft to the other side of the room. It's mostly green led displays that put off a lot of light.
