Hey, so im a decent ways into my second grow, everything is going nice n smooth so far. I vegged only till it was about 5 inches tall and I'm now 18 days into flower, still no sex is evident which is pissing me off.
-Will post pictures either tonight or tomorrow.

90W CFL? Need more light, and a mixed spectrum.

I've vegged and flowered under CFL's, happy with the veg part, very dissapointed with flower, so I got HPS.

flowering under CFL is strain dependent on yield and quality, and also how you grow under the CFLs

Ive heard of pulling a solid ounce from 78 watts cfl on a regular basis which is fine for what i'm going for. Mixing up the spectrum would make things easier for veg/flower, but I highly doubt it's better than just solid 2700k

Day 19 still no sign of sex. (again put into flower at 5 inches, n going for a short bushy plant. I only have about 3 feet of height to deal with. Also LST if couldn't notice)

bro it will show sign of sex when it is ready, putting a plant that is only five inches into flower is early, give it some time, and I would love to see a solid ounce from 78 watts of cfl, where did you find that at?

Apparently the cali-o hasn't been as high of a yeilder however, im taking his word on measurements.

It has shown its sex and it is indeed a female, pretty excited about that. I gotta go on vacation in 2 weeks...for 3 weeks. so i'm going to have to put it outdoor and let it reveg. noooooot happy about the situation with it, but you gotta do what you gotta do. Any suggestions on the re-vegging / re-flowering and climatizing to outdoor?

i hear my grow being talked up(or about) - 1 oz is my guess/estimate
i have done better than 1 oz with a 78w grow chamber, but that was NL, and NL has to be the least fussy strain out there
i'll cut later in the week

So she's deffinetly a girl and im putting her back into re-veg. I wasn't planning on it, but have to go away for a while. Hopefully she doesn't get too big to fit in the box. Any tips on re-vegging / climatizing to outdoors?

On a side note...breaking cfl's sucks! especially being paranoid about the mercury after. Broke with the fan blowin right at my face..gotta love that.

late sex means female usually, congrats on the femme
i have revegged outside at this time of year, looked good when i brought in back inside
not so good after of 4 weeks of flower and the spider mites became apparent
a little reading on what you can use for pesticides wouldn't hurt, just in case
better to read sooner and have some idea what to do than panic reading and a bad pesticide choice

I got a new plan for this re-veg. Leaving in 10 days for 20 days, so im going to start the reveg now, when i leave im going to try and get some clones so i dont come home to my only plant being eaten. Hopefully i will just leave the plant i have now outside, as it will be too big, and take a clone inside ..also get more bud so why not

you probably won't be able to get new branches in 10 days, you may make cuttings of the branches now and try to set those as clones
i have seen others do it, never tried myself to use a flowering branch as a clone
but since it just went into flower, it may take easier

my suggestion would be to try autos with that low wattage, ive used a 2700k 85w cfl and got just over 60g using 4 lowryder #2 in a secret jarden dr40.

good luck with it tho, ignore those who say u need hps my guess is they've never done it

for cloning, all you need is dirt and water, nothing more
you also need low light and steady moisture, 10 days may not be enough time, but it's worth a try
you get your clones in the best state you can, then outdoors i guess if that's the only option
they will need a low light, high moisture environment outside too, they might take

its usually very moist and humid outside, until august at least. i think my main part of screwing up is the cutting and what not. i think im cutting the wrong branches and i dont have a razor blade..other than a tiny one i could take out of a razor lol. Do you think it's that unlikely for them to take if they go from indoor to outdoor at 10 days?

Its over-cast a lot, which im guessing helps with the low light. is it beneficial to have a dark period after cloning..like flowering/revegging

10 days is quick for a cutting to take root, 2 weeks is more the usual minimum
but if you can find the right outdoor spot where it stays moist, and doesn't get hit with direct sunlight
i'd think a 10 day cutting outside will not take direct sunlight well, but it might be possible
a razor is what you want, maybe you make use of a piece of broken glass, that can be razor sharp

exacto knife work? or however its spelt...

Can it really have absolutely no direct sunlight?
is it beneficial to have a dark period after cloning.
