Hi, I'm currently growing a Black Widow (Feminized) seedling. I've only grown once years ago, w. No real resources. Now I have an LED grow lamp/ hydroponics system. This seedling has been growing for about 4wks now. Wondering if he/she looks healthy. If there is anything I need to adjust, there is (green) algae on the surface of the soil as well, on the perlite, is this healthy? Have not applied nutes, afraid because my first seedling shriveled up & died. Hoping for a good grow this time. Any advice is welcomed PXL_20220802_013243428.jpgPXL_20220809_104646012.jpg, Thanks !

The algae is normal on older pots .. right now its a sign of being to wet all the time.. small sprouts dont need drenching or anything.. other than that the plant looks healthy so far.. its alittle stretched but again this is ok.. oh and as long as you got your seed from a reputable breeder/ seller there shouldnt be any question weather or not it a female or male.. good luck with your grow.. read alot.. there is alot of info here.. use the search button .. if you have any problems along the way just ask..
Oh yeah try and get pics without the blurple leds on.. makes it alot easier to answer health problems along the way

Thank you ! I'll try watering less often, or every 2 days . I appreciate your help. & Will continue to read the other forum posts.
When it looks dry on the top, lightly dig into the soil away from the plant down like a half inch.. if its dry that deep then give i alittle bit of water.. dont soak it .. a pot that siz3 only needs a quarter to half of a cup at first..

It's a Hydroponic unit I purchased, but I found that the medium they provided did not work with the first seedling and I think it was over watered or recieveing too many nutes, sitting in the water. I'm just trying to find/ explore methods that may work.

But, It' is an automatic watering/ led lighting unit. Is the "aeroponics garden" more efficient ?

Dont use it.. lol.
Like budzbuddha said.. youll need a better light.. untill then lower that lamp some or gets some cheap cfls right on top of it until you can find a resonable led or hid..

Be aware that plant may be stunted due to under lighting and lack of growth. Couldn’t you just let the SUN do this potted plant outside ?

Ok. One is 22watt which it is under.. the other is 600 watt. At first, I was unsure, if I should transplant and place the pot under the 600watt due to it only sprouting 4-5 wks ago. But, that makes apt of sense. I'll have to adjust my set up and move it into the tent. Thanks!

There is a risk of animals possibly consuming it..potting it outside. Do you think it can be reversed, if I switch the setup.. and apply heavier lighting? Within the next day or so?

Plant will have to acclimate to any sudden changes in light , both in intensity and cycle ( hours ) . Sure you can switch up - cannabis is pretty resilient

600 watt what? Led? Mh? Hps? Incodesant?
LED set to flowering - & I'm sorry 3 weeks-- my calender was for an old seedling, that did not make it.
Thanks. Research is fine. Which can be applied to any circumstance. I personally wanted to know based on this situation. I know what I can do BASED on reading, but what "the best" method would be for this plant & what it "exudes" for me are different. Thanks for the advice.
