grow room help please!

Hello peeps my grow rooms 7 x 7 x 6 iv got one 600w hps in there at the min was goin to put a another 600w in there but i am worried about it getin too hot could i put 400w or a 250 in there and put 4-6 plants under it for the first 5weeks then put them under the 600 for the last 5weeks any ideas please advise! Thanks!

I don't see why not. It should be cooler than the 600w.

What is the temp in your room running the 600? If you want to do 4 to 6 plants the 600w would work, but I would go to a 1000 watt which doesn't cost much more than another 600 or 400. Adding up all the heat produced by 2 600's or 1 600 + 2 400 is going to be more than the 1000 alone. One way to do it would be to split the room in 1/2 with a 600 for veg, and use a 1000 for bloom. That would be a really good combo for outstanding growth. Peace

Mate what im trying to do is croo 4-6 plants every 5weeks thats why im wanting 2 lights unless i can do this under a 1000w? Cheers mate iv all ready got a veg room !

The more light the merrier.Having to much light is like having to big a tittys on your girl or to much money.No such thing.
You can do what you have to i guess..Do you currently run a light in this space? If so does it get hot in there now?
2 600 hundred in that space would work. Make sure you line the space with ORCA film.
The only problem is if you start out the plant with a lower lumens you will not get your initial development that the plant needs right off of the bat.
Some growers turn the lights down toward the end of the grow to simulate more fall days to help the plant develop more resin for what the plant thinks is the oncoming fall winter cold temps.
So if your going to do it you are thinking about doing it in reverse.Start with the 600 not the 400.
Look for someplace to vent at or someplace you can rob a air conditioning run from.
That area would hold about 24 spots in a ebb and grow hydro set up.AND WOULD ROCK IT TOO..You could set it up for two sections if you wanted to and have 12 plants come off a month producing between a once and a half each to 3 ounces each. depending on strain.

You will need better ventilation if you add another 600w. You could upgrade to a 1000w lamp or you could add a couple of 125w CFL's , or a supplemental LED (I recommend blue in the last few weeks for crystal production) without raising the heat level too much. Hello peeps so if upgrade my ventelation from my 6" tt fan to a rvk 6" L1 fan run 680m3/h can i add another 600 or should i just get a 400 to be safe thanks

If you get a digital you will be able to ajust the wattage.

I run 1kw and 300+w/flouro in an 8' x 8' x 8' room and the grow is curtained to a 6' x 6' area. It has intake and exhaust blowers. Works great for me. I see no reason why you can't go with the 1200w. My blowers have variable speed settings.
