Grow Room Help

I'd say the consistency is more like the crinkly plastic wrapper on a CD case. Unlike the impermeable CD wrapper though, mylar tears into shreds if you just look at it funny. :)

If you can find black/white plastic sheeting, it's much cheaper and easier to work with, both hanging and ESPECIALLY cleaning.

Flat white paint works well. The white/black plastic as Lothar suggested works great too. I've always used Mylar, even though I've painted the walls underneith it white. *lol*

If you order Mylar, be sure to order the thickest "Mil" you can. Its a little more expensive, but doesn't tear nearly as easily as the thinner stuff. Also, you can staple the Mylar to the walls and it works well.

You don't need to use mylar. You go by the reflective quality of the item. White or light colored paint (glossy) works as well. But with paint you can wash the walls down. Easier and cheaper to keep your room clean. You don't have to hassle with stapling anthing to the walls either.

Remember just like with photography it's the reflective value that counts.
