Grow room help

I've got a 17.25 sq ft space (2.5ftW x 6.9ft L). I set up a 1000w hps and a 250w hps with 2 exhaust fans and a squirrel bringing in fresh air. Is this to much wattage per sq foot? I've read between 50-100 watts per sq ft if using HID.
I plan to grow 4 under the 1k and 4 autos under the 250k. Am I going to just be over crowding this room?
Would anyone suggest cutting down to just the 1k?
I've got nothing growing under this setup yet until I get my conditions right:mrgreen:appreciate any feedback.

i am growing auto is a 28 by 28 b 6 ft tall area an have 4 100 watt cfl an 150 watt hps should that work
well u have 2 choices
1 is to use a 3 gallon soil system to help limit the size
2 u can use a 5 gallon or 7 gallon planter and then scrog the plant to keep it in the area

as for lights cfl will work fairly ok for the veggie ......the 150 watt hps little weak but should do 2/3 oz

now rem u want the intake low so it drawling in cool air and u need the exhaust high up and moving 100cfm or more (cfl make a good amount of heat and HPS lights are 70% IR heat so u will want something cooling the leaves/buds/flowers fan inside that moves air around mimicking a breeze on leaves and flowers)
