I'm mostly familiar with Kaendar from the toke and talk forum, so I can't judge his grow advice.

I will say this, there is shit tons of incorrect advice on all these forums, mostly from people with little to no growing experience that simply parrot what they have seen posted before, and it's usually wrong.

Hell, I could give advice, but only as it relates to my experience and what worked for me and my conditions. So that advice could be worthless to someone in a different situation. It's all about common sense, and the few REAL
experts out there, like Jorge Cervantes.

Thanks, and yea I shud have gone more in depth about the ants in the first place.. I did go back and post why if you care to look.
Ants farm aphids.....aphids eat foliage
Not all ants my brotha....ive had ants in my vegetable garden for 3 years now and never dealt with an aphid problem. My sunflowers act as a trap crop and the aphids pile up on it, the ladybugs gobble em up. Granted i keep an organic vegetable garden and use companion plants to attract beneficials/ deter pests.

Bottom line is I welcome the ants bc they are the only ones small enough to pollinate my cucumber and watermelon flowers. They've been crawling all over my clone i have in the same spot this year and no infestation or problems yet.

No, I chose to fail at it. Theres a difference. If I would have put the time and care into it that I should/could have, things would be a lot different.

well then you still fail, and its all on you cause you quit. peroid!

what ever excuse you make, the outcome of doing it wrong or choosing to quit is the same

failure

Indeed. Hoorhay is my first Yoda-master. His bible was the first book I ever bought and besides my more college level horticultural book, it's the only one I ever really needed.

Yeah.....you probably have other beneficial's eating them.......I had ants on my Armenian cucumber plant bringing aphids like a mofo.....then I brought some ladybugs from the edge of my lawn.....the ants stayed but no more aphids.....or you might just have no aphids in your area......but alot of people do
