growing poppy, comfrey, and absinthe this year as well :)

so didnt really know which part of the forum to put this in so when i dont know i put it in toke n talk since im usually toking and talking while here

anywho not only will i have my usual indoor and outdoor crops of marijuanna this year ill also be growing out some Papaver Somniferum (poppy), Artemisia Absinthium (herb used in absinthe), and Comfrey. will be my first time really growing anything other than marijuanna but im pretty excited. seeds for both are extremely cheap and legal to be sold in US right through the mail.

Artemisia Absinthium
you guys know what the poppy is about and for but do you know all the uses for Artemisia Absinthium? well seeing as i live in the moonshine capital of the world and always have a steady supply of it around here im going to use moonshine as my base for making my absinthe! also Artemisia Absinthium can be used for things such as a natural bug spray and even it just growing helps keep away bugs like pesky mosquitoes and ticks. so ill be growing lots of it this year around my house and all my outdoor spots to keep away bugs and to use it for my absinthe.

Comfrey
well i got the idea to grow this off a thread i found on this site about growing your own nutes. apparently comfrey leafs are packed full of nitrogen, phosphurous, and potassium being the big 3 we use as growers. by using a trashcan, leafs, and water and letting it sit in the sun for a month or so you can extract these elements out into a "tea" that can be used to feed your plants. so im gonna give this a shot this year just for kicks

so what do you guys think and does anyone have any experience and or tips for any of these plants? THANKS IN ADVANCE GUYS!

I don't have a lot to add. If my grow goes well this year Comfrey will be in my garden next year.

Absinthe is my favorite alcoholic beverage by far. If you are going to try to make some, keep this in mind. Its not only artemisia absinthium but there are at least 3+ herbs in absinthe. I grow them all as well

Star Anise, or Anise - Its what gives absinthe most of its flavor. Its a very easy to grow perennial herb, and also acts as a "dog nip" (like cat nip but for dogs!)
Fennel - Has the same "licorice" taste of anise, and its also used to flavor absinthe. It too, is a easily grown perennial herb.
and Artemisia Absinthium or "wormwood'

Its a combination of these 3 that give absinthe its taste and effects. Lemon grass and other herbs are also sometimes added for flavor.

PS - If you are curious about some fun legal plants to grow, I recommend San Pedro cactus. It is very very easy to grow, and its the same thing as peyote. I grow and extract mescaline from my San Pedro, and its quite easy and rewarding. San Pedro cuttings can be purchased on eBay hassle free.
Another would be Morning Glory. Its a beautiful vine and the seeds contain LSA, a precursor to LSD. Its a mild lsd like trip when the seeds are ingested, or if the LSA is extracted from the seed.

How do you process the poppy?

I dont want to sound like your mom, opium feels super good, but that shit can destroy lives.

ya ive ready up on those other herbs as well. will be growing those as well just havent gotten around to reading the cultivation info and pricing seeds yet. thanks for the info though! idk about growing the others as im not a huge fan of tripping but we'll see what happens

before the flower opens you slash the bulbs and it will excrete a substance. you dry this out and smoke it i BELIEVE. also a few other ways to do it ive read like blending up the whole bulbs or something. still reading on processing.

yes OPIUM poppy and its all good and i know you can get addicted and what not but i wont be doing any myself.
got a couple friends that used to be into it like putting a little bit with hash and what not. so mainly going to be growing it for them.

Understandable, tripping isn't for everyone.

But yea, fennel and anise is really cheap, and you can prob find them at your local nursery for a few dollars.

That's a good rule, but wormwood is just a plant. It only repels insects cause of its unique smell. Nothing harmful about it.

supposed to be real easy to grow and actually somewhat hard to get rid of once planted. you can get like 300 or more seeds for like a buck on amazon. probably where ill get mine from. just search Papaver Somniferum to make sure you get opium poppies.

gonna throw some shrooms and a few other goodies in this year as well

No prob bro, always tryin to promote San Pedro and other legal cacti. By far the best legal trip, and IMO its the best psychedelic. San Pedro/Cacti is like trippin and rollin at the same time. Except its natural and has a more earthier vibe to it.

I wonder how hard it is to make cocaine.

ehh ive seen how to do it and it uses chemicals i dont want to play with.
plus i heard you need real high altitudes to grow it.
