So my White Diamond seedlings are doing well under 2 26w CFL's. 1 CFL is a 6500k and the other is a 2700k.They seem to be doing fine under the 2 different spectrums even though I know people say to only use the 6500k during veg when using CFL's. But I'm going to continue using them the way that they are.

I haven't heard shit about how the Ak-47 tastes or smells according to people who have grown it before. I'm not sure if what I smell is cherries but it is definitely a sweet fruity smell but it isn't very strong. You have to get your nose on the plant and rub it to smell it at all. It could be that the OG#18 is just overpowering everything with its dank ass smell so much so that it makes smelling the Ak-47 somewhat hard. Lol! I hope that it is that "cherry pheno" that you are talking about.
I've grown ak47 before.. Sweet smell? Mine was more of a sour smell and the taste was very hazy.. The smell is loud that's for sure.. I have a thread that dates back 3 years ago with it there.. Ak is dank I will grow it again.

This is my 1st time growing it, and it looks dank already. Mine has a sweet smell that is somewhat reminiscient of cherries. I cannot really put my finger on the smell though. It isn't a very strong smelling plant especially compared to my OG#18. It does have a sweet kind of fruity smell to it. I'm sure the smell will change once it gets closer to harvest time. Thanks for stopping by and commenting WyteBerryWidow.

Like the title says this is an update for Day 25 of 12/12. The stretch is over with now. I haven't noticed any new growth vertically for the Ak-47 and the OG#18 barely stretched anyway. I'm still having some issues with my Ak-47 and those red dots that I talked about in my earlier posts. I'm still just feeding water, but I just ordered some Botanicare 3 pc. set of Cal/Mag, Grow, and Bloom nutes online. I should get it in the next week. They are only 8 oz. bottles, and they were only like $20 too. I figured it would be better to get something cheap and see how it works before I invest alot of money on some nutes that may not work for me. Regardless of the problem that I am facing with my Ak-47 it is still looking good as far as growth is concerned. This plant is so sticky from it being covered in trichs. You will be able to see in the pics I post if you can get it to zoom in some. Whenever I handle that plant my hands and fingers just start sticking together from the resin. That's a great sign of what's to come.

The OG#18 is going to have some rock hard nugs from what I can tell. When I touch them they are already hard as rocks, so I assume they will stay that way in the end. They are starting to get covered in trichs as well, and it has the best sweet n sour smelling aroma coming from it. When I mess around with this plant the stink just eminates from this plant. I love it! IMO I believe that I have gotten a good pheno of the OG#18. I can't wait until it is finished. I'm getting close to being half way finished with flowering so it won't be much longer. Hell Yeah!

Anyways here are some pics that I just took a few minutes ago! The 1st two pics are of the Ak-47, and the other 2 are of the OG#18. Enjoy!

I've grow blue cheese it came out good doing ak47 right now we will see how it comes out
Welcome northern cali, I had a Barney's Blue Cheese going but it grew balls, and I had to chop it. My Ak-47 is super sticky already, and I love it. Once I get this nute deficiency under control I will be much happier with my Ak-47. Other than that minute problem it is looking great. Can't wait to try it out.

I feel you I have 16 days left, Im just hoping I cure right(That scares me)
I was scared when I tried to cure during my first harvest last year, but it isn't that hard at all. There are alot of helpful forums here on RIU to follow. I just dried my harvest in my veg box, but I had string strung across it for the 1 ft stems that I cut off the plant to hang on. I trim my plant as soon as I chop it too. After about 4-7 days of drying inside the box with a fan blowing over top of the box but without actually blowing on the buds themselves. This prevents budrot. Plus I keep the box in a dark place during the drying time. Check them everyday and when they are dry enough to where the stem will snap when it breaks you know that it is dry enough to put into jars. Once you put them into jars keep a close eye on it checking it every few hours for the first few days just to make sure to much moisture wasn't inside the buds. That can cause a musty smell or even mold! If they start to smell like this dump the jar out and let the buds dry for a while. Then start over. Otherwise just burp the jars for 5 minutes for the first few days as long as everything smell ok and eventually you won't need to burp them at all. The buds will start to smell and taste better. It isn't is hard as it sounds. I didn't have a problem with 3 different plants that I harvested at 3 different times and cured all 3 without any problems. Just make sure you let the buds dry out pretty much completely beforte you put them into jars. That is the best advice that I can give you. This is a horrible explanantion of what to do imo, so check out some other forum for stem by step instructions that are in better detail. And best of luck. I am sure you will do just fine.

Thanks for coming by mr.green123 and thanks for the compliment. To answer your question, my pheno of the Ak-47 doesn'y have a very strong smell at all. I basucally have to rub it or get my nose right on top of it to smell it right now. It does have what I think is a cherry smell, but I can't say that with 100% accuracy. It does have a sweet smell that is fruity as a vague description. I do have a carbon filter so that could be why the smell isn't more prolific and standing out more. Although I can smell the OG#18 without any problem. That baby stinks so damn good! Uuummmm! I can't freaking wait! "giggle, giggle, giggle" :weed:

It could just be this pheno doesn't have a super strong odor and others do. I recommend this strain because it is frosty as hell, and I know that is always a good indicator to some good buds.

And Noob,I was a complete nervous wreckduring the whole process. I'm talking about when to chop, because I didn't want to chop early. Then I wasn't quite sure on how to do the trimming. I mean if I should do it wet or wait a few days and do it. Then I was worried about mold and then when to put it into the jars. And rthen checking the jars thinking I was going to smell something horrible when I opened that mason jar, but I never did and all way cherry! Once you do this sucessfully Noob, you will laugh about being so nervous about it. That is if you don't screw it up! Lol!

Ah finally another good ole boy from Kentucky.lol
Also those are some good looking plants,I see you are practicing for when they pass SB129-RS12 next year.(probably won't happen but I'll never give up hope.) As far as nutes and tents etc, all that can be gotten from amazon. Hydrofarms 5.5x5.5x3.5 tent was 99.00 shipped but I dont suggest tents. Closets or open room designs work much better as long as there is some sort of reflective material placed around the plant. If you ever need supplies PM me and we can work something out cause I live 5 minutes from a good hydro store. Peace brother and keep those ladies happy.

Welcome Tebin, and I just grow for personal smoke in my closet with some mylar in there. I keep it under 4 plants at all times cause anymore is a felony where I'm at anyway. I will take my misdemeanor without even bitching about it! I would love to see some MMJ in Kentucky, but it seeems like a really nice dream that I have some nights. Then I wake up! I doubt I could get that lucky to see MMJ in my state, but I will continue to do my small thing in the privacy of my own home and pray that bill will pass. Lol!

By the way I grew 1 Greenhouse Super Lemon Haze and that skunk in that plant stinks way more than my Ak-47 just to let you know. I loved the SLH that I grew. Some very resinous buds. I will grow it again in the future.

I bought these drops to check my ph of my tap water by General Hydroponics. The directions seem simple enough, and they are as follows:
1. Fill test vial 1/2 full with solution to be tested.
2. Add 3-5 drops of ph test indicator to vial.
3. Tap the side of the vial to mix contents.
4. Observe the color in the test vial.

It also says on the ph drops that the ideal ph is between 5.5 and 6.5.

The ph test dropper has a color code on it to match the color of the test vial to. My ph looks to me to be around 7.0-7.5. Is this to high for soil to tolerate and could this be causing my problems? If so I guess I will buy some ph down and ph up, so I can make the appropriate changes.

The girls are looking and smelling so good right now. I just love it. I sat in my room just looking at them in aww. The Ak-47 is still having some deficiency that I can't seem to fix and it is pissing me off. I wouldn't care but it is affecting the sugar leaves that are on and around the buds. It seems that it is working its way from the top of the plant downwards to the bottom. I'm waiting on some Cal/Mag and some other Botanicare nutes that are supposed to be here via Fed Ex. Still Waiting! Besides the nute deficiency that the Ak-47 is facing, it is one seriously resinous plant. I touch the buds or even touch some of the fan leaves and my fingers will stick together. It is rediculous how sticky my fingers get. I mean there was trichs covering half of a fan leaf. You can see the trich heads with the naked eye when you get real close. I looked under my 45x scope and you can see the big ass trich heads. What a beautiful site to behold.

The OG#18 is about 22" tall at its tallest point. All there is growing on it is the top colas which there is about 20 or so of those. They are rock hard tops that look to be about 2" long. They are covered in trichs along with the sugar leaves and even some of the fan leaves surrounding the buds. It is still a beautiful light green color. It hasn't changed since day 1 on this girl. It has been a dream to grow. Absolutely no problems with this plant at all. Took well to topping but I think it slowed its vertical groth considerably by doing that. Next time I grow this strain I will make sure to veg it longer. I don't think I am going to get a very big yield off of her. I hope to get close to 2 oz, but I'm thinking considerably less. It's still awfully early to tell. After touching this plant a sweet n sour funky smell just reeks throughout the room, and I love it. I can already tell that this strain will be a favorite of mine. I just love everything about this plant. There aren't any negatives that I can give. This girl is just been behaving perfectly. She deserves the best behavior award!

So today is day 30 of 12/12. I am calling this the half way mark. They are both reportedly 9 weeks strains, so that's 63 days. Anyways I got my trio of nutes with some Cal/Mag, and I quickly gave the Ak-47 a 1tsp dose to a gallon of water feeding. I didn't really notice any difference over night. I didn't really expect to either. I really have no idea how long it would take to reverse the damage that has been done. I guess the new growth should be deficiency free. I will keep an eye on it and see what happens. That's about all I can do. The OG#18 is just flawless. No problems what so ever. I couldn't be happier with this strain. I just wanted to give a quick update. I will post some pics later on in the week. Oh yeah I have 3 White Diamond seedlings in party cups that are on their 3rd set of true leaves now. They are under 4 CFL's. 1 26w 6500k CFL and 3 26w 2700k CFL's attached together by way of 2 2way attachments. I figure that is plenty of light for them in veg even with the single 6500k CFL. I'm going to veg them as long as I can inside my small veg box then I will be putting them into 12/12 with the others. They are regular seeds, so I might not even get a female out of this bunch. You never know though, I could get 3 females. That's what I hate about regular seeds after using feminized ones that worked. I'm not to worried about how much I get off of these, because I don't even know what to expect with this strain as far as taste and smell. This is just a practice run with these 3 I would say. If they turn out to be something nice, then great! I will be happy to run them again, but put more time into getting a larger yield. I just started these 3, because I had to chop my Blue Cheese since it hermied. And I didn't want to only have 2 plants going, so I popped those. My main concern will change from the AK-47 and OG#18 to a Headband, Chocolope, and I think a Pineapple Express that I have been waiting to grow. So thats why I'm not concerned with these White Diamonds at all but who knows I might get so impressed that I forget all about the Headband, Chocolope, and Pineapple Express.
