Congrats Gumball! Looks like the bagseed is bouncing back a little. The new growth looks good. Kinda funky with those pink leaves though. I like that LS all balled up like a newborn :) Once it gets established though transplant it. That's not a lot of soil for it to grow in. I'd just fill another cup with soil/perlite and plop it right on top or you could go straight to a large pot. Just wait until it's got good root distribution through the soil it's in now.

thanks daniels! i had to give the bagseed a little water before I go to work, but lights dont come on for hours. so i did it blind. i wanted to use the old cell phone as a light and peek so bad, but i said i would wait for later.

yeah those pink leaves were pretty messed up. everything i found said they need a potassium boost, but mine did not!

i have some 1.5 liter bottles cut in half i will transplant it into. i didnt put a lot of soil in the cup so 1.it could be its own humidity dome and get a little growth, and 2.it would be easier to transplant. i figure by the weekend i will tranplant.

Hi Gumball,

Great to see you got some growth. I think this is probably the most difficult stage of a grow to judge as far as watering is concerned, they really do need very little and its easy to overdo it. I swear by a spray bottle for this stage as its impossible to overdo it. I see you are bottom watering the bagseed, again go easy but this will encourage the roots to dig down fast towards the Source but again be careful not to over saturate the bottom soil, a little is all they need, enough to keep it moist down there. You will soon have nice established roots this method. That bagseed is coming back strong, don't worry about the damaged growth as nothing will correct that now, just focus on the new growth and judge from that, looks good to me :-) And I agree with jebus that more depth of soil is needed for that baby, those roots like to dive.

Look forward to the next update Gumball. Good luck :-)

Thanks ms! I am going very gently on the bag seed. Maybe a cup a day in that bottom mouth. Just enough to prevent the leaves from wilting, and once I see some good growth I will start adding more.

I was worried with the LS because after 2 days the in the soil it appeared very dry and no sprout. So I dropped literally 2-3 drops of water in the center, and 1-2 on the side of the cup. After 3rd day still no sprout so I gently moved the top of soil and there it was, so I covered it over and waited and it sprouted on day 4. I will probably transplant the LS once it needs water.

I noticed that Gumball, looks a great way to get the water straight to the roots and you can poke a finger in there to get a feel for it too, good idea :-)

I'd wait until the roots are pretty spread out in the soil. You don't want to pull it out and have the soil crumble and rip apart the roots. You might want to just cut down the side of the cup so you don't have to invert and shake it free from the party up.

Yeah, I was hoping if it dried a little, I could just do that, invert it and the whole thing would drop in my hand. Then just drop it in the new container, basically.

Good to see some action in there gum.
The LS looks like a coiled snake ready to pounce :)
The vent looks brilliant, way better than my effort. It's a really cool idea, doh, forgive the pun :)
Good luck fella.

No I don't. I am thinking of robbing my piggy bank (yes I am a 30 year old man with a piggy bank, and its not a piggy but a 3 foot tall pink puppy!!) to get a bottle. But I think the bagseed is gonna be aight. Can't wait to see the lemon skunk tonight, the seed hull came off yesterday and the leaves spread a little more.

well today is day 2 of the LS. popped the hull yesterday, spitting out its second set of true leaves today :hump:. I cut a small slit in the bottom of the party cup, and in the side about halfway down as well. this way i can peek and see if the roots fill it up before I transplant. i hope not, but i didnt see any yet.

i dont know what day for the bagseed, it was like july something!!! but we will give her a do-over . her new start date will be the day i transplanted her and she actually and her recovery began, so September 5th, that will make her 9 days according to my fucked up ass logic!!! :bigjoint:

anyhow, enjoy the little pics :weed:

Hi Gumball,
The Bagseed has really come on since the last pic, big difference. LS looks good too, I love it when you see those tiny serrated leaves unfolding :-)
