Hardcore Grow Tips for Serious Growers IMO

This is for serious growers who want to get better at growing.
Im not writing a book or a bible. Im given growers my two cents and what as worked for me. Im not here to listen to whining or debates. Im interested in feedback tho.

Envoirment.
I keep my envoirment perfect with dehums, a/c's, ventilation. You could say "i do the same thing". BUT everybody does things differnt. Here is what ive done...
I have 4 outtakes and two intakes for two rooms. I vent room to room because my rooms are on differnt day and night cycles. The rooms i vent into have a smaller exhaust fan going out. WHy you say? Before my room used to get to 20c and 75humidity. Plus the outtake wasnt turning on at night and causing my dehum to work extra. Since i vented in that room the temps have got no lower than 26c and 65% humidity. and air flow as increased for the sleeping ones. All my fans are on thermostats so the fans wouldnt turn on at night. When my main outtake turns on in the room thats sleeping it pumps co2 rich air into the room that is on. Making my plants thrive.
Ok here are some things to take in advice. I run my dehums 24/7 in the rooms. two exhausts go room to room and two go outside or attic.
I also run a sulpher burner in both rooms weeks 1-4

Plant numbers/size.
always veg for two weeks even doing sog. I know some people say why? Its because a 1000 can cover 4' hieght wise. So two foot plants arent cutting it under 1000's. I prefer lollipoping plants and crowding them. The plant will have a much stronger root system and a thicker stem. If you arent doing bigger plants then down size your lights to 600's or smaller. I Still do a high count with the taller sog plants. i do thirty-forty a light. They end up about 4 feet tall when finished. I prefer 2 gallon pots of pro-mix/sunshine. If i had one light i would do thirty and if i had two do i would do 70.

Lighting/space.
One light can do 4x4 by its self. But since light adds up you can cover more space. I prefer my lights to cover 4x5 when the shades are in rows. I get an extra two feet because the light overlaps. And more rows of plants. For 6000watts im getting 120 sqaured feet. 50watts per sqaure foot.

Exhaust ratio/size per watts.
I recommend two inches of exhaust per light(1000)
Exp. I use a 8 inch for 4 lights and a 12 inch for 6 lights. For intakes i use a fan that is 3/4 size of my outtake. Now when i vent into the other room.. For my 12 i have a 8 in the other room.

Feeding.
We all go by weeks in some way. Ill keep it simple. I feed once a week and water once a week. I call it "Out with the old and in with the new". Example. Week 1 i would feed with my base and b52 at 750 ppm and then flush it out next watering. Week 2 900ppm, week 3 1000ppm, week4 1200, I only add Base+vitamins as everything else isnt needed. Invest in a ppm pen and ph pen. Log everything you did. You learn much faster when you take notes. I start week 1-3 with a ratio of 1-1-1 GMB then week 4 I do 1-2-3.

Cloning.
Since i run two differnt cycles i take clones for my crops from clones(donors) Here is advice for cloning in peat pucks.
DONT open the the flaps on the dome untill they root.
I had better luck with not slicing the stem. just a 45 cut.
Make sure you sqeeze the water out of the pucks before pinching. When they dry Dont water them to much. just get the bottom of the pucks wet. They will soak it up. I keep cool temps outside of the domes and place the trays on a heating mat. Try to use ro water or soft water with no chemicals. I switched from city water to well water and have 95% success.

Thanks for the info, I have a question for you, how do you go about keeping the temperature ideal while the co2 is in the room and the exhaust fans are not running? My room quickly heats up with no exhaust fan running, and that is with air cooled, sealed hoods and a portable 12k btu A/C. Also if the A/C is running and the exhaust fan is not, the pressure shifts to overly positive and smell blows out of my flower tent. I'm interested in adding co2 to my garden but this main question prevents me from speculating any further.

It seems like you have it so that each of your two rooms exhaust to the outside, and also into each other, and you just switch the exhausts from outside to inside while co2 is being released. If so, is you're A/C cooling the overall room air, and the 2 rooms which are sealed at least partially from each other are exchanging this cooled, co2 enriched air between them?

I got more then 2 per light last harvest. Was not an OG strain but was still about 5.5 pounds per 4x8 tray or 2 lights.
OH yea what were you running? strain wise. Its all about how fast you can get that to. I veg in a seperate area and replace the plants i harvested with new plants.
Thats crazy weight for that amount of space. How did you do it?

Well I kind of rounded it off I actually got 2 pounds and 6.5 ounces from it not a full 2.5 sorry should have been very specific but LST or bending in a 4x8 tray that held 72 plants in it. 2000 watts over that tray, you cant tell but my plants right now are about 3-3 and 1/2 feet tall also so looks like a big bush now because they are all getting plump but the bending through the net is how I do it along with a strain like Blue Dream that is a good producer and easy to grow to begin with, plus the new Foliar spray recipe I used last time made a BIG difference.

Good question. I have a co2 controller that is also on a timer. I prefer air exchange over sealed. It has work better for me. I have a 12000 btu as well. For four lights it does its job to maintain temps at 80.
Ok say if Room A is running during the day. I vent room A with an 8 inch fan into room B. Room B has a smaller exhaust fan on when room A is venting. Since room B is sleeping it gets heated by room A and a dehum. That way my rooms are always warm.
Co2 is just a little somthing extra for them. I dont rely on it. I have a burner so i can produce alot of co2 fast. I incorperate it with air flow. I think air flow is much more important. All my intakes and out takes are on thermostats.
When room A exhaust turns on and vents into room B the smaller outtake in room B is on the same thermostat so it turns on aswell. And when room B's 12 inch is running so is rooms A exhaust going out side. So basicly two sets of fans per room but one is in each room. Sometimes when room A vents into room B the smaller exhaust might not be good enough so the big fan in room B turns on and vents Co2 air into room. Plants take in co2 during the day and at night they release what they didnt use.

Have you heard of growth plus? it works good. I use B52 as a folar spray in veg. I put a few drops in a spray bottle and give them a nice spray down. I do that mostly to harden them off because when i plant freshly rooted clones sometimes a few didnt get harded off when they were in the domes so they wilt a bit. A few sprays a day and then they are on there way growing. Just a few drops tho. I prefer sog so my canopey is always full. Netting is good because you always have a full canopey. I dont like when plants lean over cause i have to treck threw a sticky jungle and it stinks alot. I only grow kush so 2 lbs a light is amazing for that strain.

I think I may have heard of it but never tried it. I have tried B52 in the past and got away from it. Nice yield for OG man props for that. I made up my mind before I started this one that the next one I am going to stop being a puss and find a nice OG strain to do. BD is easy to grow I almost feel I am cheating myself out of some real Experience because OG are a lot more touchy and more likely to get mold to but I have been taking the easy way out for a while now just to get some good crops in first but expect to see my new grow in about 6 weeks which not for sure yet but should be all OG's.

I am running og for the third time right now and the difference will be in super croppin for me. if not mine will really stretch!

I dont know where the OG came from Cause i grow PK. I dont mind the stretch because its easy to water. When plants are crowded they will strench. I have got my best yeilds from plants that are overcrowded and stretched. Because the canopey is always full. Untill they get top heavy and i have to stick them.

I'm looking into starting perpetual harvest and would probably have questions regarding those techniques. Once I'm ready to try that, I'll bug you big time.

HAHA Just come back to this thread for info cause its there. Its basicly getting away from mothers and using what you got. So no waste of power.
