My veg room is @68 degrees all day and all night long. I tested the thermometer and it's working fine. I was given a MH light and that is not outputting much heat. I have not seen much of a difference with or without it. To be honest I gave the MH back, as it was old as the hills, heavy as hell and HUGE. The one the guy gave me had a ballest perminatly attached to it. Haning it from my rafters was a serious bitch and just setting it up over the plants was scary as hell as you needed two people to handle this thing. It almost came crashing down on my plants so i just put my flurescents back up. My room is 4ft x 7.5 ft. I would like to heat it up to 75 degrees. I will be hitting up the walmart tomorrow and dont want to get one that is going to turn the room into a 100 degree sauna on a low setting. BTW it's a veg room right now. Flower room is under construction.

Remeber all electric heats use 750- 1500 watts most use 1500 watts so thats a good chucnk of electricity about $80 a month to run.You can get a propane tank and a Mr heater head that you light and it heats the area and as a bonus thats basically a co2 generator. It heats fast in in 2-3 minutes your at 1500 ppm co2.

Hum. Would that create a constant temp? I figure I would have to shut it off at some point not to over heat the room, and put too much co2 in there. I like that co2 by product tho. Man it's so tempting. I'm starting to think it might be easier to run a dryer vent hose over to the area. I have heating vents in the basement, they are just sealed off. I took one of the seals off the other day and the wife had a fit, that I was heating a 1500 sqft empty basement lol. I can't blame her, but argueing it pointless. The house stays at a constant 72 degrees.

You can regualate it to some extend. You can get some sheet metal ducting and build a cap and let the heat and co2 flow to the grow box and turn it off when its warm enough. Otherwise a heating pad on electric blanket in there can raise temp-8-12 degree. I use one under my soil plants sandwhiched between 2 thermal blankets and a black plastic sheet

I decided to go vent route. I was by the depot today and picked up a 25ft heating and vent 6 inch hose for like $10 it's now hanging down to the bottom of the floor in the room. I figure since heat rises. Well see how it goes.
