Heating room in dark hours

Hello would an oil filled radiator with thermostatic control suffice to keep my room warmer during dark period. I suffer from a drop in temperature when the lights go out.
Was looking at this one.

Also, do I need to leave both intake and exhaust fans on during dark period, up until now I have let both run 24/7.

surely someone has tried using an oil filled radiator

i use a blow heater, seems to do the trick nice,
the heater your planning to use is 2kw 2000watts thats like having a 2000watt light on 12 hours a day! try to find a smaller wattage heater

It doesn't mention the btu's. Yes it will work, will it heat your room? How big is the room?
I use a natural gas fireplace in mine, its about -18c here and my room stays between 22 and 30c. The electric heaters work, just cost more to run. VV

Forgot, yes you need to have 'fresh air' even when the lights are out. In addition, as the temperature drops the relative humidity will rise dramatically, having the fans running solves this problem as well. VV

Ok I think I will be going with an oil filled radiator, are there any techies reading this......
I can get a 1kw heater in place of a 2kw heater but my thinking is I 2kw will be more efficient at heating my room, can anyone clarify this for me ??

Or should I get a hot air fan blower ??

I simple propane tank and a propane tank top heater works well.If you get one then run it 3 times for 3 minutes during lights on and you get nice co2 by product too then just turn it on during lights out. Or a simple water proof heating blanket under the pots with plastic over it keep the root zone worm

how cold are we talking,how much are your temps dropping with lights out.

I tried a growth gas generator some years ago, it caused far to much condensation. I have far better ventilation now, maybe that would combat it.
Trouble is I sold it

I will be able to answer that question very shortly trapper, as last night I put a min max temp and hum gauge in.

Just took the readings, as follows

71.7F Room temp now@8pm, the light has been on 2 hours
45% Humidity
74.8F Max in 24 hours
53.7 Min in 24 hours

69% Max Humidity in 24 hours
37% Min Humidity in 24 hours

so how does that look ??

The 53 is cold you wanna try to get it up over 60F 65 would be better. I have dipped a few times to 57 and dont like that with lights out and noticed it does slow the growth

Yes Fletch, I do need to raise this temp, thats why I need to decide on which oil rad to purchase. 2kw 1kw or the .700kw.

I think I made my mind up, the 2kw it is.

i k will be plenty you only have to raise it 5-10 degreese a 1 k will do that trust me,a 2k is overkill and really eats into your hydro bill,i would say you could even get away with a 750 watt heater if you put it in the exact opposite of your exaust so your sucking the heat through the plants.

Oh and I can place the heater either infront of the intake fan or opposite the exhaust but sat on floor, so yes it would suck the heat through the plants.
I will in fact sit in there when the lights are off to check when and for how long the rad kicks in for. I have a rvk exhaust so am thinking it will be switching on and off quite a lot

the 750 will take the chill out of the air,that is what you want,the temp gauge might not show the differance but the plants feel it,a 1000 on a timer would be less ware and tare then a 750 going steady,have used the 750 oil filled in room a bit bigger then yours and worked fine,and it was minus 35 when the wood went out,mind you the room was fairly well insulated but not great.

if you run an intake fan and not passive intake put in front of intake fan,just make sure plants are not right next to it and rotate the closest ones too it every few day,if possible every day.

Not quite sure what you mean by passive intake opposed to intake ?

the air removed by the outake fan and filter causes a vacum were it needs to bring air in,so a hole cut out for intake,that is what i run.no intake fan just outtake with a hole for air to fill the room again.
