Help please. Too many possibilities

20150130_074315.jpg
70% Fox farms ocean forest 30% perlite.
100w draw ufo led, (about 14 inches away)
3 5000k cfls (1 inch away)
I translplanted them into 1 gal buckets from jiffy pods a few days ago. Rinsed the soil a few times by letting water run through the soil and out of the bucket a few times. Because I heard FFOF was a hot soil. I noticed the spots on the tip of one plant the next day, they are brown ish red. The tip was yellowing, i thought nutrient burn... hopefully it mellows out... a few days later and all of a sudden it spread and isn't just on the tips, now the spots are in the middle of other plants leaves........ so i flushed ph d water through the soil a few times again. I really hope the plant adjusts and doesn't get worse. Any advice? I haven't added nutrients yet. Just what came in the soil.

led too close?
nutrient burn?
ph issues? ( my water runoff before flushing with 6.5 water was at 7 ph, maybe manganese difficiency?)

I don't know how a young plant can already have nutrient problems. I tried looking it up but there are several options and none seem solid. Help please!

CFLs one inch away? Could they be burned? Your soil looks very wet. I noticed some shine on your leaves. Is that snail residue? JK, you might be over watering in a hot media. Your runoff is comming out 7 when you're flushing w/ 6.5. That means the media ph is way higher than 7. Are you adding calmag? The brown spots look like calmag def. If you think there are too many possibilities, you should start w/ the low hanging fruit. The first one would be not to over water. Next get those lights a little further away. Your ufo is fine, its the cfls you should start to worry about. You know that the peat moss holds moisture, so treat it accordingly, let her dry out. When you do water, water w/ ph 5.8. When you feed, add some cal/mag. Try not to foliar spray w/ lights on. What is your RH? You might not need to foliar spray at all. Most importantly, you are doing alright. Your plant can recover, if you treat her right.

My RH is 40%. I just flushed my plants with 6.5 pH water in that picture. I also thought about the cfl bu4n but was only seeing burning with other people when leaves touched the lights. It's more like 2 inches away too. Do you really think I'll need to add nutrients with brand new FFOF soil?

It's a little early for anybody to definitively tell you what the issue there is. Your best bet, in my opinion, is to stick with your pHed water that you already "flushed" with for a couple of days. Don't add any more, let that soil dry out extraordinarily well. You are far more likely to damage your plant with overwatering than underwatering and it's probably the number one mistake new growers make. Let the pot dry out for a couple of days to have a "clean slate" and assess from there.

But the lights are on the sides of the plant and the led above. It would be burning on the edges first. .. if it were the lights.

That's what I was figuring. was hoping people saw these spots before. Because the plant is growing fast and seems healthy regardless.

RH is a little low for such a young plant. and No, you don't need to add nutrients to such a young plant. Though when you do, get some nitrogen in there to add some more green to your leaves and calmag to counter the coco retaining all of your calcium.

you're good dude. when babies are babies they have every sort of bacteria infiltration you can imagine.......everything in the universe wants to harnass the power of youth....so they'll naturally have a few oddities while the plant is being attacked from all angles and becomes more worried about staying alive rather than fixing a hangnail, you know? usually, even if you have some of the best soil you can mix up (TLO, super soil) you will still see blemishes. but it's how they rebound from the problems in their infancy that really tells you about the genetics. it's one of the first things i look for when i spend money on prestigious beans from overseas, or wherever.......i spot the first sprout with a problem. because, usually, the best thing you can do is just keep giving it love and support (water/oxygen/light) and watch how it reacts. sometimes that problem will stunt the overall growth of the plant throughout it's entire life.....sometimes the genetics say 'fuck that'. i had a mission and i'm sticking to it. wait until it's an adult before you judge it;)
