help with bug identification please....

Hi!

Can anyone help me figure out what these bugs are and how to kill them? I've used spinosad and 70% neem oil.

Looks very similar in structure to thrips and the scratching damage looks indicative of their feeding.

thanks, i was thinking thrips too, but couldn't find pics of any that matched in color. will treat as thrips and see what happens. thanks again

they don't look like thrips to me. they kinda have that pre-transition lady bug look...

Kind of agree, kind of looks like stippling on the sides at the back of the insect similar to those on ladybug larvae.

There are many variations of thrips though that vary colour depending upon species and location.

These look similar.

Pic1 the 2 insects close together, the left one looks to have the structure of thrips.

I looks like the wings are folded starting at the top of its body.

I've had thrips that color but I've seen pirate bugs look almost like that. Pirate bugs rarely eat your plant though, they usually run all over it looking for spider mites or aphids or something else to suck out its guts.

Can you get a clearer pic and a better close up? at first it looked like it may be a immature lacewing but I cant see the insect that well
