Help with Lighting Issue

Ok this may be a dumb question but here it goes. Do I need to have ventalation to my grow light if I keep the glass in place? Right now I have it out to help heat up the room because of the cold temps. Thanks for any help

Remember M8, the only stupid questions are the ones that don't get asked.

You are smart by utilizing the light for heat as well. When it warms up and you need to cool things down abit, then you might want to look into venting the heat when you reinstall the glass because it will produce quite a bit more heat. Just something to think about.

With the glass in it does need ventilation imo, these bulbs get hot hot hot.
Without glass it's fine without vents...

Temps range from 60 at night to almost 80 during the day. I do have a fresh air fan coming in and a outtake fan at the top of the room. Also have the light about 18 inches off of the plants. If I could figure out how to load tthem off of my phone I would let you guys take aa look to see if everything looks ok

Is this for flowering or vegging?

I've learned if you can control your temps and make sure you get like 20 degrees cooler while they are sleeping in flowering you get the best coloring...the blues, purps... (don't go below mid 50s)

I don't let my veg girls get lower than 70s

we're all different tho, I'm certainly not an expert but haven't fucked up a harvest yet.

Many of us inside growers take advantage of removing the glass during the winter time .. Then its all put back together and vented once again in the spring .

that frequently? my grow shares the same air as i do, so i dont have anything but a fan to move air around and keep heat down in my grow area

I am in veg right now. I am lucky I can keep the heat up when it's 10 degrees outside. The plants are actually doing quite well even with the temp swing. I do have a little heater just to make sure I don't drop below 60. Thanks for all the info

Pineapple. This is my very first indoor grow so hope all goes well
