did you refill with nutes right away?

i like to let the plant run on just plain water for a minimum of 12 hrs. that really helps clean her out so to speak. and then start back with nutes.

Yes I fuller her right back up so plain ro water for 12hrs overnight? Ph mater? Should I ph the water

Ok I flushed her back down with plain ro water then I fed her run off ph was 6.4 ppms 285.... I’ll head down and check her in 6 hrs and report back after I water her if ph doses drop I’ll Chang my res ph from 6.6 to 6

Ok good news is she finally started eating only 15ppms but she ate....bad news ph was 5.4 I took your advice and hit her with ro water and I’m going to let her sit for 14hrs then feed again

don't worry too much about pH coming out as long as pH is good going in. keep it around 5.8 to 6 if you can.

and yes, i don't bother pH'ing the RO water for a flush

Holy shit iv been phing the water to 6.5-6.7 to make up for the crazy ph drops iv been seeing in 1-2hrs it goes from 6.6 down to 6.2-6.1 I’m afraid if I put 5.8 in it will burn my roots because in a few hrs it will drop to 5.2-5.3

all i can tell you is i never checked my runoff with hempys. so i don't know if that's normal or a problem to be honest.

i would feed with something in the proper pH range if i were you.

do you have anything to add to prevent root rot?

that's another thing that will cause pH drop like you are experiencing.

peroxide, bleach would me something most people have on hand.

or if you have a grow shop nearby, they would have something too.

you treat a hempy like hydro, not soil. nutes all the time.

have you grown in hempys before?
yes for many years with many different setups... the reason u dont feed feed feed because the salt buildup causing the same problems hes having... u can either feed feed water or flush out ur medium half way thru...

as for ur other question about perlite retaining little water is not true at all... the way ur explaining this is as if ur using regular pots.. this method is simply a passive hydro system that wicks water from a predetermined sized reservoir. so ur medium and reservoir should give u min 2 to 5 days based on the size of the plant... usually 3 days on avg for a plant producing 2-4 oz

yes you do feed always. if you don't overfeed, you don't get salt build up.

sorry but a 2" res in a 5 gal bucket does not last 3 days for a moderately large plant in full bloom. even in regular DWC hydro, a plant that size drinks easily a gal a day.

This is nonsense. Please stop giving terrible information.

So it's nonsense that I called out a salt buildup in the beginning of this thread and told him to give only water every 2-3 feedings to prevent such things while ur literally saying the same regarding buildup having him do a heavy flush to remedy a problem caused by feeding everyday or as the other poster said "feed 2x a day"

How high are you? Did I say heavy flush? Can you post my quote where I said give it a heavy flush?

God the stupidity runs rampant in here sometimes.
