I've asked about this before but never really got an elaboration. When my plants show their sex i want to prevent another seed grow and clone that mother just a few times, and still flower her, and veg the clones in a new veg room. The basic questions i need answered are: how bad do you think the stun will be? will my success rate be bad? i know how to clone properly. I just want to know basically if its worth it or not. thanks for any input guys.

You can clone away with your mother plant. But let her have at least a week of rest before flowering her. Hell you can clone her and then bud her right away, but she will be a bit slow on the flowering proccess due to the stress she has taken from the clones you clipped! Success rate: 100% since you know how to clone! 100% Success rate when you flower your mother, just a bit slow at first!

Does that answer it for you?

I am not going to say 100% because you never know what might happen but it should be good. The mother plant is going to be stunned when you make clones just don't go hog wild. I know how to clone yet I managed to screw up the last bunch I cloned (only 6 survivors).

You can clone a plant of 33% of its entire mass with very very little worry of disturbing its FLOW!

and NOW you KNOWM

no no, what i mean is i have seedlings, i dont know their sex until i flower them. so i want to clip a few clones. maybe only just one clone. that i know is female, my thing is, the plant will be in the flowering cycle and so will the branch i take bwecause i wont know if its female until i flower it. My question is how viable will that clone be since it was forced to flower and then is being forced to root and veg again. how long will it be stunned and will the success rate be bad? i am asking ebcause i've heard it's not good to clone a plant thats flowering.

Even after you bud your plant you can take clones and revert them back to vegging, although it will take a little bit of time for it figure out what it has to do. The problem with this is that the stem stock of the clone may be barked - tough skin. Making it harder to clone and taking a bit longer to clone. So What you do is make sure your water temp. is in the range of 64-68 degrees (F), and when you cut your clone at a 45 degree angle (clipping) dip it into a hormone solution right away so no air bubbles are created on the fresh cut - very important! If you can't get the water temp. down try adding Ph water that has set in the fridge for a few hours. May have to do this several times a day just to keep temp with in this range. After a couple of weeks the clones will really take off.

Hope this makes since and is a help.

Wrote that one in a hurry! My teen had bowling practice. I would just take some clones before budding, simply because once you set your plants to 12 hour cycle you'll find out in a week or so what sex it is. This would prevent any slowing down on the clones growth if they do turn out to be female, and your clones will have a week or so head start on growing. Unlike if you took them after you started flowering. You don't want your clones in there with anyway.
