HERMIE?? Or... Calyxs?

Like it or not , most beans have hermie in them period. The herm might not show in your setup but will show in others. Hermies come from genetics. Making the hermie come out and show itself might not be easy on some better genetics and others will show herm from a simple overfeeding or a green led light.
Go look into how long it takes to make a stable bean and then go look at the bean sites and see how many "new strains" they have for sale. A real breeder cannot make 300 new strains in a few months....impossible. So they do it anyways and now we have 299 new strains that are all hermie based.
Dioecious  And depending on how unstable the strain is, the chromosomes in some seeds all but guarantee a herm. EVERY seed that isn't feminised(another cause of high herm %) has the potential from birth to be either male or female. That's why you can't choose sex by seed. They can be either or herm. Some are doomed to be herm from day 1.

I think @2Hearts is the stoner he's warning people about, ironically. Because science and shit.

It would be well documented if a selfed seed had 50% chance of being a hermie.
I'd say more like 85%
Any "fem" already has hermie to start with, that does not mean you will ever see it. You may get lucky and never see a hermie and you may get even luckier and get a fairly stab;le species and grow for 20 years with little to no nanas but you do NOT want to breed said species as its already "ruined" before it started. Now i get a cut from you and my whole room is nanas. Yes , the grower has a LOT to do with it but the genetics are inevitable.
A few years back the cookie bros were only selling pollen. why ? because they didnt want the stable cut they had getting to everyone for free when they worked so hard for years to get it. they would much rather you dump their pollen on your hermie so you will order more.

I know one legit breeder personally. he started a couple years ago with a couple species. Its been over 2 years and he is not even close to releasing a stable set of beans. Hes having a blast doing it the right way though. Its crazy how 30 beans from the same parents all have different structures and characteristics.

You guys are still guessing, when you have a strain that dosent herm wake us up because until that point you got shit.

When you enter into a debate with claims that anyone can prove then why arent you? Go breed your genetics and prove me wrong, some of us been waiting thirty forty years for some noob tobreed strains tgat dont herm because it is That Easy!

What in the flying fuck of a 180 degree turn?

You fuck lol

You literally were arguing that hermies are caused by the grower and now you're telling people who EXPLAINED IT TO YOU.. that it's genetics.

"You're a special kind of stupid"

That's a true hermaphrodite, 100% genetic, with separate male and female flower clusters. Trash it. An environmentally stressed hermie will throw pollen sacs from the female flowers, not form entire clusters of male flowers in a completely separate area.

When you learn genetics you see everything is genetic but you give no context between a trait and something that is unchangable.

You and others say its breeding, were waiting for the simple breeding that would prove your points.

If you re read my comments you will see i have described and explained the problems you face in proving your points and why no one has a stable strain that dosent contain the genetic ability to herm.

Not sure why its so hard to understand except your refusal to learn genetics to the level one would need to understand a very complex system.

omg this is too rich

Listen bud.. SOME SEEDS ARE DOOMED to be herm, regardless of the grower's actions. ESPECIALLY if they come from Herm pollen. Including SELFED POLLEN AND FEMINISED POLLEN(silver). Do you deny this?

All REGULAR seeds have the potential from day one to be Male or Female, as well as TRUE HERM. Regardless of the grower's actions. Do you deny this?

If you said "Yes" to any of these questions... Get the hell off this site and come back when you actually do some research.

Mendals Law, dictates what recessive and dominate traits pass on. As well as sex. If you have selfed genetics anywhere in a genetic line it has the potential to be intersex. I.E chem lines are notoriously prone..because wait for it...they were bag seeds...this is breeding 101

2hearts has good intentions but ill wait for citations...

You havent answered the question, if it is as you think wtf are your genetics that dont herm, simple as finding two non herms and breeding them then every seed and line would not be able to herm ever.

Im waiting for you to prove just one of your points with an actual breeding pattern that should be simple to follow.

Nothing you say about herms makes sense or explains why every strain in existence can herm and often does here in so many new grows of the same strains and seed pros use who never get herms.

Not here to go round in circles waiting for you to answer the obvious problems of your assumptions.

The terms you are looking for are chromosomal crossover and recombination. It describes the exchange of genetic information not inherently passed on by parents.

Intersex traits are created, ruderalis is the source but through natural selection and some forced selection we have sativa and indica dominate genotypes

Actually....

Dioecious
I did. It's because all cannabis seeds, as well as ANY dioecious plant, have the ability to become either male or female.. meaning the chromosomes are BOTH present. Not that hard to understand, genius.

Its not a trait, serated leaves isnt a trait, a trait means breedable not what the underlying template of dna is. Genetics is actually quite distinct on certain facts here.

There are no citations, no one studies cannabis in that capacity or has that capacity led to a peer review on the exact systems within cannabis that cause a plant to herm.

Total grey area. open for you to submit any crazy idea.

Its a plant...it is not unique in this characteristic by any means...plant biology is a thing and is well studied....

Sorry but you have yet to understand the complexity of plant sex, plants arent like simple male female at a genetic level and the hermie genetics not even linked to plant sex but stress.

The deeper you dig the more lack of higher education you lack. Talking about subjects that people spend years in uni to understand like plant sex like you know shit.

Actually....

Science has yet to workout a lot about plants both genetically and chemically. It does seem like science knows all but if you were in that field you would say you know very little and hence the constant experimentation labs conduct.

Some plants are very unique to science, cannabis genetics are one such thing and yet to be understood.

Difference between armchair science and reality are very blurred, we can barely exceed a few percemt of lightspeed yet we make films like shits almost real.

Big difference in saying we dont know everything and we dont know anything because their is more to know.

Their are 100% things you can say for certain.

We just dont know in this case because we havent advanced enough scientifically and the technology to go futher dosent exist.

Its really out of our depths, there is big money for those that solve this stuff though just no one is offering a dime for solving this debate.

1st and 2nd photo you can see the cluster I'm referring to, as a few to the right of the cluste have pistils
Definitely a herm ..... BUT “ the elephant in the room “ that nobody commented on......

Is that your grow is spot on in application... that plant is one of the best looking plants in vigor and health.
Whatever your regiment is with it should be applauded, looking forward to seeing a proper female in that setup !
