Good day yall.
Going to order a few quantum boards from hlg Canada.
I emailed them this same question but they did not respond and has been 6 days.

Does the box it comes in the mail in say Horticulture lighting?
I am legal here in Canada but dont want the receptionist who accepts my parcels being nosy.

Thank you.

Did the address sticker say sent from horticulture lighting group is a concern?
I'm glad outer box is plain brown.

6 days without a response and you still plan to order from them? Is that an acceptable amount of time to hear back from a company when you have a warranty issue and your plants are dying because they don’t have a light? I wouldn’t buy from any company who doesn’t answer their phone during business hours. Shows me their priority is not customer service.

You could just ask @Stephenj37826
I feel like its sort of a dumb question so dont really feel like bothering business. was even hesitant to email the company

I feel like its allowed to ignore dumb questions. And I think they are the best option for my situation.
If i had a serious question and they did not respond then I may question the companies accountability .

Look, don’t sell yourself short. No question is a dumb question and any company that deserves your business should earn it. If they can’t answer your questions that’s a big red flag to me that they don’t know enough themselves or don’t care about you enough. To me your question is valid and very important when it comes to growers who are not in legal areas. Safety is paramount and making sure the manufacturer is looking out for your safety is a pretty smart question to me.

Its not a dumb question at all.
The kit that came from my own country had no sign of what it was on the box.

The ones I got from USA may have had HLG on the customs papers, but I don't honestly remember and HLG could be anything.
It may have had a different company name though, that's why I said ask Stephen.

6 days to not answer an email isn't something that would concern me. They are incredibly busy but a relatively small business with few staff. Sometimes they get snowed under or are away doing research and development.

We put HLG as the shipper. Plain brown box......
HLG Canada is a different company and you will need to contact them with questions.
Thank you for your time. That is good to know and hopefully Canadian HLG ships the same way.

Yes as long as it does not say "Horticulture lighting" I will be happy.

My lights arrived today. ordered friday may 10th, arrived monday may 13th. super fast over the weekend.
Bought 135 kit and two 65 boards.
3 different boxes arrived.

The 135box says "hlg 135w kit" on the back.
The 65's say "HLG 65" on box. as well there is black electrical tape in multiple areas on the box. I tear off one piece of tape and it says horticulture lighting group under the tape.

If you google "hlg 65" or "hlg 135w kits" you would instantly know whats in the box.

Overall pretty low key though with the black tape. I am happy with the packaging for the most part

Even HLG Canada has bad customer service? Weird trend lol. I purchased 3 qb288 with a triple heatsink, no shipping information update in 7 days, no emails, nada. Come to find out they were out of stock (In stock on website) and apparently thought they didn’t need to return any of my emails. Finally a post on here asking what the deal was (I know they are active here) and all I got was “We are ordering more”. Finally received my boards, heatsink had a few bent fins, figured it wasn’t worth my time to contact them, probably won’t be buying from them anytime soon.

Yeah till you see the results of your grow!

Ever thought about picking up the phone?

Amazon generation...
Don’t justify their lack luster customer support, I shouldn’t need to pick up the phone because they aren’t replying to my emails. I’ve dealt with several other companies that will reply within the hour every single time and I gladly do business with them because of that. Great lights? Sure. Worth the price and headache and constantly being out of stock? Not for me. My Alibaba boards do the the same for less than half the price.

Good luck sending those Alibaba boards back to china at great cost to yourself if you ever have a problem with them.

You want to know what good customer service is.
Its sending a driver replacement half way across the world at no cost to the customer for a product that was a year past its warranty date.

BTW it took my order 4 days from paying for it to get to my door in England.

You have a lack of response from an email and a heatsink bent, which im sure was the postal service and you flame a small company for Bad customer service...

Shame on you man.. Get back to shopping on amazon where Jeff Bezos will pay a modern day slave to work their ass into the ground so you can have a great customer experience for some Chinese crap.

Why are you getting upset because HLG didn’t email me back and literally not even a shred of customer service for 8 days after spending $300 with them lol? It is what it is. I’m not bashing anybody, this isn’t a false rumor I am spreading, they gave me zero customer service it is as simple as that.

Htg supply has the Agromax copy of the hlg if you wanted a different option. I got a hlg fixture from growerslights.com and they had great customer service.
