The less anybody knows about any of your business the better.

its something much overlooked by homeowners. But, its a pit. And in this fucked up world they will probably raise your insurance. Don't think they would drop you over having a dog.
I'm no expert, but I've never heard someone complain about that.

But yes if you have the time and resources. ( someone to house the dog and will take care of it) make sure you get every food bowl, tennis ball, etc. I would hide it. It doesnt hurt.

Then again, if god forbid, your dog attacks someone and they sue. The insurance company will not cover damages

Might be worth the extra $50 a year

Farmers is absolutely fucked for home owners insurance & will drop you like a has case of the crabs , and fuck you over on claims like they did me , I have 3 MWD american bulldog protection animals & a kennel license & farmers tried to dump me over the dogs by claiming they were dangerous animals , I'm like your fucking a right they are dangerous as hell but only when working , they don't bite random kids .

Another bullshit trick farmers loves to pull is to claim your household items aren't covered if you have real expensive stuff , years back our summer home got broken into while we were in the city during winter & we didn't know for a few days ,ice storms dropped power lines causing our alarm to malfunction , over $250,000 worth of high end McIntosh HiFi gear was stolen & farmers denied the claim , excuse being that they only cover items in the common american home & not speciality items , I had to sue them to get the $ 240,000 needed to replace our stereo in that home .

We dropped farmers right after the check cleared .

if u said u dont have a pet..then dont have any sign of a pet when they come. They will find ANY excuse not to pay.

Better safe than sorry.

This doesn't have anything to do with purpose of this thread, but I would suggest Farm Bureau insurance. I've had KY Farm Bureau insurance most of my adult life and they are the most straight forward insurance company I've ever dealt with as far as paying their claims. Hell I was in an auto accident that wasn't my fault and the other driver's no name, cheap ass insurance company was dragging their feet. Farm Bureau paid my claim and then went after other insurance company in court. I'm a Farm Bureau member for life. Just my experience.

I use FB too. For home and auto. It was all good with them the two times my wife's little car had fender-benders. But with us having four vehicles on the road, it damn sure adds up. I pay way more than I like.

Hey I think you both said you are military veterans. Look into usaa. We use them for everything. Banking, insurance, loans, and investing. Couldn't be happier. They are mostly an online service that only serves military, veterans, and their family. They have like a 90% approval rating. Not many insurance or banks can say that

I've seen their ads on TV. My wife does all the bill paying, and for most things I don't have a clue what we pay, or when it's due. Lord help me if anything ever happens to her.

Glad you got that part of it done. Was there any damage to buildings, or just the downed trees?

Nothing like a little profit to make you feel better.
