I have had a Blackberry kush plant in a 16 oz cup for about 2 months without problems....when you star to flower is when the space is going to fill up quick.

Trust me, I've seen some really REALLY huge plants come out of planting them in cups. There was one on this forum, which was HUGE. Depends on your skills, I mean a noob no way, you need some good experience. You can get those plants high.

3rd set of leaves in a 16oz cup and the roots are coming out the bottom

i think the roots just happen to hit your drain holes

im pretty sure their is still a good bit of soil space for your roots to take up before you transplant into something bigger

just flip it upside down and take it out ant look at it ,

if your roots are completely covering the root ball then you need to go ahead and pot up

if not just put it back in the cup and you can make a little adjustment so the roots are not coming out the drain holes right off the bat

even put a layer of soil on the bottom or something first then put it back in

Even if there is no more room for roots, if you keep proving the plant everything it needs, there isnt any reason why it can't grow to its full potential. You should check out the hydroponic threads.
