How Do I retain that sweet smell I have during Flowering?

A few weeks ago I clipped a little side branch, and dried it for about a week, then threw it in a jar when it was bending/halfway snapping the stem. It does NOT smell like my plant during flowering, if i even touch a frosty nug my fingers are oh so sticky and reek of skunky/terpentine/piney smell. I want to retain this same smell into my buds, to have a very pungent smell. The branch was taken about 3-4weeks ago and has been curing for at least 3weeks. What's the deal? Harvesting my white skunk plant within a few days, and I am considering drying it for MAYBE a day and putting them straight into jars.. what do you guys think?

I don't know how to fix your problem but I don't think leaving it to dry for a day would be good and you would have to make sure and keep mold away

by the way I haven't actaully harvested or cured any of my plant yet this is my first grow but I think after a few days of drying they stop smelling like hay and start to get back their original smell, maybe you didn't leave it to dry long enough???

ur doin fine....if they're dry enought to not cause mold u can leave ur jars close 24/7, opening them maybe once every few days....the smell with come...i have some at 5weeks cure and I'm almost startin to get the taste... when u go to burp it, squeeze the nug or break it open and put it back....it'll start reaking...

Do not leave the leafs on the bud or it will smell like hay. And once it starts drying the smell will go a bit and you will have a damp smell , Do not worry it comes back once its fully dryed out and cure bringsout new smells ......... dont mess with it or your make a mess let it dry mann
