How do people get rock hard buds?

New grower here , its all genetics.. you don't need all that co2 and what not to grow dense buds
I'm also Aussie, the rock hard stuff you are referring to is all the PGRd crap pushed out by the Asians and bikies. You don't want that shit.
Besides PGRs the other ways to get dense buds are good genetics and conditions.
Trust me 95% of the "rock hard bud" in Australia is PGRd and you don't want that cancer causing shit.
Once you have good genetics and know what you are doing CO2 and a good sealed setup will definately step your game up to the next level trust me.

Used properly they definately work, also stops plant stretching and shortens flowering cycle by a week or so. Creates rock hard dense buds with hardly any trichomes or smell, also has various negative health effects when smoked.
Pretty much kills the smell of your plants when you use this so you can have a whole warehouse / house full of plants ready to harvest and your neighbours will barely smell a thing. Compared to a dank strain you would smell miles away.

yeah i spose it worked and reduced the internodal spacing,
but for me i just worked out its better to work with your nutes ppm, and say drop the lights a bit, than use some cancer causing stuff

Genetics, environment, and actually letting the plants finish growing, swelling and ripening aka not chopping early, all will greatly impact the density of your buds!

My HLG QB's make all my strains harder I think. Like rock hard for all the non popcorn buds. Even popcorn isn't too fluffy. It's crazy. I do grow organically though, so maybe that has something to do with it. I don't know.

I think light is the biggest factor like you mentioned. Feeding just right and keeping the environment on point are all factors. But I usually dont expect good results with my burple its just a side thing I do just because I have it. It never makes dense buds no matter the effort I managed to get big buds but never dense. But when even a budget light that is Mars produce much better buds burples are just not the way to go lol

when do you harvest? After your first ambers or %15-20 amber state or something like that

15-20% for me. After a few grows you can tell when they are ready. Calyx will swell and pistols recede deeply into the calyx. Cheers.
Buds also have a slightly bronze look to them due to the ambering.
