How does weed survive in the Wild?

Paradox

I may be out of my element on the understanding of how plants work in the natural (wild) sense, but i've had this thought on my mind for awhile since there are some outdoor strands that are wild, "Saturna Sativa" for instance.

what I am wondering is without support from humans properly loving them, how do they survive in northern climates year round where it freezes the ground, or any climate for that matter since they will all have limited light at certain parts of the year.

do they drop the seeds after death and hope those will stay frozen over the winter?

how has a seasonal plant lasted in a year long cycle for centurys?

idea's?

Like most annuals, it drops seeds that can survive a harsh winter and then sprout once the soil is moist and warm again (i.e. Spring, which we replicate with germination techniques).

Iv got some strains from the net right "bred genetics etc." and iv got some seeds from some bush off a hippy grower with stuff that dates back to 70's. His stuff will grow anywhere in anything with some reasonable bud. The Good genetics off websites will grow bomb weed in perfect conditions but if something is not perfect you will know. What im sayin is some weed can grow wild without any help at all. Its all genetics. Iv got 2 plants both 1 meter tall and not to stretched in a spot that gets at most 2 hours direct sunlight and i havent watered them once. Its our fault most strains around arnt that naturally adapted. JMO. Sorry if i got carried away haha.

I'm curious as well how does a pot plant survive in regular weather the only reason I argue (more so wonder) is the plant asks for a arm an a leg just to get a result (mostly) an when it comes down to natural enviroment the fucking thing will grow with nothing more then too much sun (example) I've seen plants in natural enviroment an with a drout in the area still managed to grow its very weird how much things change when you try playing god I personaly love god (an Sun roofs) ahh ima stop I need to smoke this thing I'm watchin it burn later.

Wow. Plants survive in the wild via nutrients in the topsoil from years and years of foliage decomposition, and they get water from rain and pockets in the ground. Light is provided by the sun, C02 provided by air. Next thing you know bam, you got your basic elements for plant growth. Reproduction has already been explained, a couple of cannabis plants are wild, 2 are female 1 is a male. Flowering time comes around flowers all 3 including the male which drops pollen to the wind/bugs which carry it to the female pistils thereby pollinating the females. End of season comes seeds mature and drop, winter kicks in seeds freeze, spring they thaw and germinate, then start to grow into more and more males and females and the cycle repeats itself. They way a plant spreads is usually by animals, a seed or two will get eaten by a bird which shits them out miles away, and the nice warm shit in perfect for germination. Or an animal burshes up against the pollinated females and catches a few seeds on their furcoat, they fall off a mile away and so forth. Natural selection my fine feathered friend.

can you define a weed? Any plant that grows in a location it is not wanted is a weed! We make the plant grow in this pot, a small controled enviornment that has to be maintained in order to survive. I dont even understand the question to be honest i would ask how can this plant grow in our closet and survive?

I'm sure it is legally permitted to have 2 plants in your home, But i think that only applies where i am,
Am i right?
