How much money have you spent for growing

Me ive been growing since november so this is the 6th month so far ive spent about 1500$...i have a 1000 watt digital dimable and a 400 watt digital dimable a 6in and 4 inch carbon filters with fans tons of soil a 5x5 tent and a 4x2 tent a radiant 6 cooled hood ph and ppm and other random shit but ya i didnt think i would have ended up spending this much and i know i will spend plenty more over time.

its pretty fun though.I spend some coin but at least its better then spending it on hookers and crack(..agh,the old days....)

Saves me lots of money being able to smoke from my own stash, so I don't really track what I spend on growing. Probably spent around $500 for my first indoor grow years ago on one sqr yrd, $200-300 per run after that (nutes and upgrades).

i have a real small setup, just a 400w hps and a 340w t5. i spent about 800 on equipment and about 500 on soil and nutes and whatnot. this is over 4 years. that amount wouldn't even get me through 6 months of buying street bags.

I have the overhead for the next run figured out at around $3K, for nutes, power, co2, a million odds and ends, and I have to relamp my lights. Takes money to make money.

I spent about 5000. I had an electrician come in and run new wire and put barkers in just for my room. I built a room in my garage lights hydro system fans hydroton and nutes. Also a tent for cloning a light and fan for that also. I think thats about it. Oh seeds or clones.

I spent 1500 just on lighting and ventilation.

Uhm... well-- Just our Electricity is $450 a month for JUST the grow-- then soil & nutes... extras-- that doesn't count any of the equipment, ducting, stuff we've replaced or upgraded....

uh.. I guess the answer is Too Damned much ! ?

oh. probably for just hardware. 2000. one 1000, one 600, one 8 tube t-5. one 4 tube t-8. carbon filter 200. fan 175. one tent 200. odds and ends...200. the bulbs and ballasts both galaxy, about 600. so at least 2000.

Ive got 6 lights 2 exhaust 2 intake 4 inline and other misc things so prolly around 10grand not to mention my first grow a few years back burned down and none of the equipment was salvageable.

You people spend insane amounts of cash. My first grow I spent literally $50. Then I got some new gear, and dropped a whole whopping $250.


Maybe it's the difference between just doing a small, personal grow or something. I wouldn't spend thousands to grow tomatoes or beans, so why would I spend it to grow cannabis? Not like I'm looking to make any money or anything.

First grow I spent probably $200 on a small grow box and a bunch of CFL's. Current setup I spent roughly $580. About 60 bucks in electricity per grow.

I am aiming for the 2014 to be less then 100$ inc dr ref.. 50$ for ref $50 for grow..

have plenty of soil now to compost will clone a few during the 2013 "winter" to save on buying plants/seeds etc. will only need to get some amendments and maybe some more flowering nutes
