so only if you have a nutrient lock out??? my ppms have been exactly the same for 3 days but res level is going down by at least a gallon a day....its been getting very cold at night when lights are off like around 60 will this slow down growth?? then back up to 80 when lights are on....5th week of flower my strands are sativa dominent just want to stay on top of things...lol

I like to put straight water into the buckets 10 days before harvest to flush them. At this time I pour a gallon of water through the hydroton from the top to try and wash out any salt buildup. Also scrub your buckets at this time to get out any salt and grudge so your roots are just getting strictly pH'd water.

I ran a tray last year that near the middle of flower ran pure flowers additive (never again lol). The first plants harvested had a distinct not so nice taste. The last plants harvested only had ph'd water fir 10 days and the taste was gone. But typically no I dont flush.

used to flush last 2 weeks but recently switched to last 3 days if you cure...been getting bigger buds after the switch and no flavor change...3 days flush with gh kleen..

i do the flush w lights on 12/12 but ive heard 3 days or more of total darkness stresses out all the crystals never tried it tho

yes ive heard a couple seed companies say to leave the plants in total darkness for up to 2 weeks to stop any regrowth and stress out every last bit of crystals

Not often..but I fell the smoke is harsher when I don't compared to when I do..I believe I develop a cough from the unfleshed stuff...my thoughts are it becomes a cleaner smoke due to the plant using up its own nitrogen stores from itself rather then keeping uptake from its environment..a bit of fade can go a long way towards flavour...I harvest every fortnight and smoke a shitload so I get a fair handle of the quality..
