8/11, I missed the same 3...although late at night after a LONG day, I think normally I wouldn't have missed any EXCEPT the divide 30, which I still think is BS. divide it BY 1/2, I STILL don't see how that is 60, grrr, lol. Nice quiz OP

dividing by 1/2 is the same as multiplying by it's reciprocal.. namely multiplying by 2.. so
30/(1/2) = 30*2 = 60
add 10.... 60+10 = 70
there now all can understand

It is because most people do not understand fractions.
30/1 divided by 1/2.
When you divide a number by a fraction you invert the values of the fraction and multiply.
30/1 times 2/1.
That is 60/1, then add 10 to get the answer of 70.
As a mental exercize try this:
Thirty divided by Two.
30/1 divided by 2/1.
The rule is that when dividing one number with a fraction (two can be represented as a fraction, 2/1) you invert the 2 with the 1, and multiply.
30/1 times 1/2, or 30/2, or 15.
So, to get half of a number you divide it by TWO, not by one over two.
