I'm in the process of building a new room.9x6 but I only have just over 7 feet .Any pay have Any idea of how I could run drain to waste without having to move the place rd around ,or bring in trays to set under plants until done the remove again.I was going to purchase couple flood takes or drain tables but I don't think I would have the head room. Thanks !!

There's something I have never heard of, had to look them up.

Do they suck from the very bottom unlike some pumps which don't seem to remove the last few mm of water?
They are a low profile pump that has a low flow rate but will pump up to a pretty good head height. They typically have a tiny little gravity fed reservoir in their base and a little float switch to kick them on and off. Thats the fucky part, the float switch, and the low flow design doesn't handle chunks well so you want a screen on your drain fittings that feed the pump. They can be made to work if you can get the collection tray up about 6 - 8 inches to feed the pump but you can easily outrun one if you water heavily since they are meant for a slow steady feed of condensate from a central AC unit or dehumidifier. I actually have one in a dehumidifier.

Here is a great tutorial for building a DTW low rise system that is not that expensive. Can be custom fit.
https://www.cocoforcannabis.com/diy-self-draining-saucers/

I am setting up a different system but takes a lot of principle and set up from that system. I am running 3 rows left to right of 2 2x4s across with a little gap in between for the drain tube. They are going to be resting up 8 inches off the ground on 8x8 cinder blocks on each side. Then I am going to make top trays like the one in the tutorial to set on top of the 2x4s. Going to use egg crates to raise the pots outs out of the trays a little as well. They will be a approx of 10.5 inches off the ground. I am going to slide a 41 liter underbed storage tote underneath and drill holes in the top to run my tubing from the trays into. This should help hold the tubing in place. Gives me about 9 gallons of run off capability. For now I will just empty it with my shop vac but in the near future I may get a pump to pump into a drain bucket.

Look for a 6” spill tray. Put that under your flood tray. My spill trays are 14”, you can get 6” tall online if you google. Probably $75 each though for 4x4.

Depends how much drain you want to be able to catch and how often you want to drain your waste reservoir.

Don’t forget an anti siphon. ;)

Plenty of people grow in 6 foot tents. What kinda lights are you using? You can have the trays sitting pretty close to the ground and use a condensate pump to get rid of the run off.

Or you can check into these, they have an IG too so you can look thru customers set ups and see the different ways people plumb them together https://drainawaydraintray.com/
1000 watters with 6 inch big buster air cooled hoods .I'm the process of ordering some leds to purely veg with .but that room will be tackled when the time comes.so right now I will be verging and flowering in this room for 1 run I'm guessing under at least two 1000s.

Don't worry man I started in very small rooms and tents and worked up over time. I'm in completely diff state now with over 500 sq ft of flower space and all legal. Well I'm finishing up the build now

Just write all of your ideas and thoughts down. That'll help alleviate the sensation of being overwhelmed. Even if you don't ever review what you've written, just the writing of things will help you remember. Obviously, it's more effective if you keep a kind of running idea list.

That's too bad about the wife. My wife helps me with all aspects of the operation. I'm especially thankful to have her trimming with me.

More food for thought.... (gravity drain)

I looooove my tray - auto drain. Same deal with Dehumidifier - gravity drain, no emptying bucket.
That would be ideal I think.what kind of headroom you dealing with compared to your light setup .How high did you have to get the table for it to drain well ,what's it running into? That's similar to what I had in my head, but feared my ceilings wouldn't allow it.Less talk more action on my part I guess lol.I'm just blaming it on the woman from here on out f@$k it lmao
