This is why anyone doing tissue culture will probably have a booming business soon. Imagine a local company, you can send your cuts to, have them clean up everything and send it back. Probably make more money than the growers if the demand for clean genetics takes off.

“Warren: We can’t go too much into detail because it is patent pending, but in doing the research on curing viruses in plants, the first step is always meristem tissue culture. But we’ve found that meristem culture alone does not do a very good job of curing the virus. It’s probably a less than 10% curing rate for meristem, and problems can often pop up six or 12 months down the line, so then you have to do other things like heat or cold therapy. It’s almost like chemotherapy for cancer in people. What we do is torture the plant for a bit so we can detach the viroid from the plant, then we do meristem tissue culture. Beyond that, you really can’t have any sort of control over the pathogen without some sort of diagnostic testing, either with a third-party lab or in house to make sure your crop is clean.”

that’s a lot of $$$ to save a cut! I could pop a lot of beans for what they schilling, I guarantee that! Nothing out there that special, lol.

“Clean” genetics are much more available in seed form.

Of course.
I don't want to do a long drawn out post, but after popping hundreds of beans, I have never found a plant better than some of the elites I paid top dollar for. Plants like that are hard to find. I don't just grow pot. I grow top shelf consistently. Plants that are proven to check all boxes. Popping beans is a crap shoot and I don't have time for that.

Post flower pics of those elites please?

I'm good. I don't really care to debate if your seed runs are better than my prized cuts. Or who is the better photographer. Many variables come to play when I choose a cut. Smell, taste, buzz, structure, vigor, and flower time all are things you can't capture with a photo
No problem. Not a competition. Just want to see some of the elite cuts peeps talk about. :bigjoint:

I think you are full of it ...prove me wrong
Eh? I don't care what you think. I barely summon the energy to reply to you let alone give a fuck about proving myself lol. But I probably use the same effort to reply to you as to wipe my ass. That's what kinda level you're on to me. Ass wipe status.

Actually apical merristem culture specifically takes the virgin cells at the tips of the plant where there is NO VIROID. And let's educate you since you seem unable.. THE WHOLE OF MODERN DAY HORTICULTURE AND HOUSE PLANT PRODUCTION IS BASED ON TISSUE CULTURE. your argument is kinda like trying to say mc Donald's doesn't sell burgers. Ridiculous.

Perfect example of why there's a market for elites. Beautiful shots!
