I am curious how much your electric bill is bigbud. In my area, electricity tops out at $.35 per kwh. That would be monstrous electic bill to power 2 1000w HPS plus fans and A/C.

Even one 600w HPS boosted my bill to over $600 a month. I am hoping my switch to a LED gets my utilities back in the $450 to $475 range.
LEDs help in more ways then one. you save on cooling and electric. plus you get a better quality product. hands down.

Nobody will get their money from this shady company , you could produce a mutant plant that produces 20 pounds and they wouldn't pay you still. Look who runs it, the worst of worst when it comes to reputation and quality.

I respectfully disagree, from personal experience with this company, not hearsay and conjuncture. I haven't heard one person with experience with this light feel the same way you do. everyone who Tries HGL loves them. period. but hey, to each his own.

That's amazing if you really can hit 3lbs per 1k light. I'm not trying to call you out by no means, but what kind of setup to you use to achieve those numbers? I'm looking to up my game and any pointers would greatly be appricated.
Once you have your setup dialed in it's very reasonable to get those numbers. 1.3gpw is reasonable and I've seen setups do more than that. Most people fail to realize is to get numbers like these you have veg your plants longer. A 4 week veg isn't gonna get you those numbers. Longer veg=large yield but you must have the light and space to do it. They have to be trees like he grows or a nice scrog setup

not with me, I could careless about what is Rehashed over and over and over (AND im sure your about to segue into it) on the internet. my plants love the light, THE LIGHT IS THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS to people secure in themselves anyway. this is 2014 not 1960. things have changed. my light has outgrown every other lighting technology that I have tried. 600hps, Dormgrow 450, and the pro grow 400. so like I said, grow with what you like, but why hate? live and let live.

Then if its all about the light this is a mid to low tier light that uses average to below average parts.

Twice a year Hydro Grow executives purchase the best 3W and 5W LEDs from leading LED manufacturers to test and document the achievements made by these companies. Of the companies on the market selling LED Grow Lights built with 5W LEDs, many of the more expensive models are using Osram LEDs. On the most recent test in February 2012, 4 different Osram LEDs were compared against another on the same test equipment used for all Hydro Grow testing. All LEDs were of the highest BIN and the highest quality offered by Osram; however the 3W models outperformed their 5W counterparts by a significant margin. <----copy and paste from their website.

So you basically have no idea what LEDs were used in the light you have bought.

I never said I didn't know, I figured that since you made such a definitive statement you MUST know all about the parts, turns out you didn't know because you had to go to their website and copy and paste. lol... and FYI they don't use Osram LMAO all that what you posted just says that they test them AGAINST companies using osram(most of them). we don't have a problem with each other so i will leave like that. you win, your dick is bigger.

peace.

FYI, one of the most knowledgeable members just posted an efficiency chart (<<link) which shows HydroGrowLED Sol near the bottom of the list. I don't know what LEDs HGL uses. I don't think you do either. :) But, it's my belief that all these guys (HGL, Blackdog, GrowBlu, Lush) are just rebranded Chinese imports sold at a premium with a lot of glitzy web-page "come on." I'm sure they grow well. But, I believe a side-by-side with TopLED/LG/MarsHydro (I wish they'd settle on a name) would reveal they're not much improved.

And then there's the drama HGL and its owner are renowned for. If the lights laid golden eggs I could understand using them. But, they don't seem like anything special.

I'm not going to heckle you with back/forth posts. I urge others not to either. Just wanted to contribute another data point.

Those are nice buds. However, I see photos like that all the time on TopLED's support thread on 420mag's forum. A fraction of the price.

those are at 47 days no where near finished. 290 watt from the wall. finished at 412 grams. ...you know what. whatever.

I can't wait until somebody actually takes this challenge and then you will see....or not, probably come up with another conspiracy theory.....
