Hydro vs. Soil Skywalker Kush

Whats up RIU. Been a long time since I've been on. So right now I'm transitioning between mother plants and decided to do one final run with this Skywalker kush. She was a great pheno that took more of the Skywalker than the OG. Very Sativa like structure. 7th generation clones and still growing hardy! We'll I'm generally a DWC cultivator and have been curious about soil growing. It's argued among my grower circle that soil bud is SUPREME. So I decided to try both at the same time. Two soil and two DWC. They will be in the same environment, munching on the same Nutes. 1 week of Veg for the soil twins and no Veg for the hydro girls to keep the canopy even. This will be an experiment for me to compare the structure, flowering speed, yield, and taste. So far we are 1 week into flower. I will try to update with pics every 2-3 days.

Excuse the HPS on while I snapped these photos.

i`m doing pretty much the same thing. last year my buddy talked me into trying dirt and the whole organic thing. i gave it a year and went back to dwc. my hydro buds seemed better so to find out for sure i`m doing 2 clones of something i`ve grown a few times side by side, with a blind taste test at the end. what you will probably notice is, flowering time wont speed up, the faster time in hydro is the shorter veg time. the hydro plant will be beefier and yield a little more. as for taste, people say dirt taste better but i don`t see it. that`s why i`m doing the side by side myself. i can tell you that this will probably be the last plant i use soil for indoors.

I agree on not being able to tell the difference with my buddie's soil bud and my hydro( he used clones that I gave him). I've never really done a serious indoor soil grow so this will be somewhat a trial. My outdoor girls always produced well but potency and taste lacked. Last year in Denver for the Cannabis Cup, The DNA boys were arguing that Hydro bud taste just as good as soil. They said that when OG #18 placed in 2009 that it was hydro. So I'm a little skeptical on organics and soil having the best taste.

Yo mister Herk I watched you grow out Skywalker last year. It's what influenced my choice. She definitely produces well in hydro. Never personally grew a soil run with her.

Not much to report here. Plants have been stretching. I staked the soil plants and one hydro that is starting to lean.
