I have that exact pump & i have a eco 5 in the box still for my brewer that I should get in action this week
but I am impressed that i use less water with organics & have spent way way less than bottled nutes

SST as soon as my blue corn seed shows up , do u airstone while germinating your SST 's ?
do u filter the SST Or leave the solids for top dress ?

I don't aerate seeds while germinating. That's a pain in the ass. When I puree the seeds I add water to the seeds. Then strain the puree over the resi and let it aerate a bit. Do not let an sst aerate more than 4 hours. After that it becomes very acidic and an herbicide.

Also when you soak seeds do not let them soak longer than 8 hours. Longer than that and the enzymes start to die off.

I've been using more fresh coconut water instead of sst. That's just mainly so I can ferment the coconuts.

I've been watering even less since I started using ferments

Yeah I'd guess that a sst will sour very quickly & the enzymes I'd imagine are gone even faster ,
I will handle as a live product , blend & use at the same time
how long should you let the sprout go ? timing i'd guess is important as u'd want the prime enzyme levels
length of the sprout is what I mean ..

I soak for 8 hours then rest on a damp cloth for 8 hours then repeat til sprouts are as long as the seed. I also like to puree seeds right after a soak. They tend to harden while resting and soften up in the soak

No never. The soak water is a growth inhibitor. Make sure to wash off the seeds after soaking.

Then I'm going to start another batch of labs. Then tomorrow I'ma go and buy some fish to make some fish hydroslate.

Looks great. Those Rubbermaid Roughnecks are pretty solid for SIPs, 10gal or 17gal, and cheap right now @HD.

I'm thinking reflective tape on the black lids for next run. They get warm pretty quick.

@Nu-Be ,Does that res fill near completely up with roots @ harvest ?

I was thinking that too.. the water inside alone will bow the sides of the tote out a ton and add the top weight... iffy.
If I ever did this, I'd definitely invest in one of those really heavy duty totes from home depot that you see aero cloners made out of frequently. You know, the ones with the thick plastic yellow lids that have a criss cross pattern molded into it.

You want at least an inch of airspace between the water line and the pot.

No bowing with the rough neck totes. From water and the pot. If I had a 10 gal pot the lid might become too concave. It seems fine with the 7 gal pot.

I use the same yellow lid tote for my water storage resi. But that bows a little from the water.. it's a 27 gal tote though. The rough neck I'm using is only a 10 gal. The lid is just as thick as the rough necks.

yeah those you can stand on them , I use them for my used coco storage , Tools

My worm farm is in those soft lite blue totes It bowes & now it's handles failed due to UV/sun exposure( they were in the sun before the worms became a home in them )
never the soft blues again I like the shape but I need long haul gear

Wal-mart has some good cheap black totes right now with silver snap up locks on the handles. They're on the tote itself that snap up over the lid. $20 for a 50gal. It's a big ol bitch. But thought I'd throw it out there if someone needs something like that. And it's low profile.

To followup to what hyroot just said, they don't bow at all. Not even slightly. You can't stand on them, but they're just about perfect for the size. I don't know if they fill with roots at harvest because this is my first round running them.

I just did a major rearrangement of my SIPs tent and, at about 1/2 full of water, my 17gal Roughnecks had no issues being picked up and moved around, inside and outside the tent. Only my back balked.

5gal or 7gal fabric pots are just right, and either the 10 or 17gal rez is great. I chose 17gal since I want to be able to go to Hawaii for 19 days in Dec/Jan and not have everything die. I figure I'll get it all dialed in this round, perfect it next round, and really test the capacity over the holidays.

I'm gonna place HF dollies under the totes Just gotta figure out what I want & what fits
on my last in-door the 4way mover dollies made 4 easy fill of entry way & easy clean/trim as I could roll the crop into my kitchen as I was doing 5 gals in drain trays that fit the size of the dollie
bungeed the tray & pot to the dollie , but SIPs would be even easier & more stable to move
I'm using the dollies out in the G'H it's gotta cement floor
