i love bubblers, can't wait to see what this one looks like
first bubbler is a success and fail. it has a crack. i heard it crack when i was welding the stem on. it worked, bubbled, but it leaks where it's cracked. i used it and put it on my shelf. it is now part of the "archives". if you wanna see it you'll have to come over. i took no pics.

first bubbler is a success and fail. it has a crack. i heard it crack when i was welding the stem on. it worked, bubbled, but it leaks where it's cracked. i used it and put it on my shelf. it is now part of the "archives". if you wanna see it you'll have to come over. i took no pics.

What do you think happened? Or why do you think it cracked? Had the bubbler cooled too much before you worked the stem? Just curious....

i hit a cold spot with a hot flame. i heard it happen and looked for the crack but couldn't find it, until it came out of the kiln.What do you think happened? Or why do you think it cracked? Had the bubbler cooled too much before you worked the stem? Just curious....
it was a "test". i didn't take time to do anything cool with it. i was basically seeing if i could weld in a down stem. there really isn't much to see.
