I need a diagnosis RIU

Okay I am not in a bad situation as of yet but I am experiencing some fading/yellowing on my first set of leaves.

WATER: Filtered tap water using "ZERO WATER tm filter." tds is 0 ppm as a base.

NUTRIENTS: Jungle Juice grow "a" and "b" 10ml of ea. / 1/4 teaspoon of superthrive.

TDS: 245 ( was originally 280 rose to 284 I added more water to dilute the solution and went to 260 YESTERDAY today it is at 245.

PH: Try to keep it at 5.8 but no matter what it goes up to 6.5 so it averages I would say 6.2.

ROOM TEMP: 75f.

LIGHTING: 300W 9 band led 18" from bucket. 18/6 photoperiod.

GROW STYLE: DWC 5 gal pail.

GROW MEDIUM: Rock wool with aquarium peebles over top to block out light.

AERATION: Two dual pumps with four air-stones.

AGE: 15 days old from seed.

So this has been slowly appearing over the past few days I don't know if it is a Ph fluctuation problem or a early nutrient def. I can't see it being the the latter as my cotyledon's are still green wouldn't they suck nutrients from there first before the first set? My ph is retarded it will not balance out at 5.8 or any where near it every 8 hours and its back to 6.5. Blows my mind I feel like that might be the problem. But I just don't know for sure. What do you all think?

sounds like you have hard water ,it will not ph down for long it will raise back up in 12-24hrs . to test this theory ph a gallon of water let it sit out 24hrs and check again if it goes back up you will need ro water or start buying distilled water . what kind if filter is the tap water running thru ? make sure its not a softner bcuzz that gets salt in the water . the 6.5 ph in hydro will cause ph lock out where the plant gets nothing no matter how much you feed . good luck

thats just a charcoal filter gets some chlorine and any chunks of rust or sediment out . that aint gonna do it friend my suggestion is go to the grocery store and get distilled water ,about a dollar a gallon , untill u get a reverse osmosis filter .

Im feeding them 2 part jungle juice grow both A and B 10 ml each in approximately 3 gallons. As well as 1/4 teaspoon superthrive.

I was using phosphoric acid on my previous grow but it locked out my nutrients because of the amount i was using to control my PH. I had to much phosphorus in my res so I switched to API PH down (sulfuric acid) from a aquarium store *safe for plants I used it in a previous grow with no issues.

I will if that's what you say it is. I originally was using distilled water before I bought the filter I had the same issue. The filtered water reads 000 when the tap water has run through it.

i am not really that hip on hydro , but now it sounds like they are drinking more than they are eating causing ph to climb . hell that might be wrong , let me see if i cant get a hydro man in here . hang out for a few min .

You need to add some cal/mag to your water, it isn't in your nutrients and it isn't in your water post filtering. That single point leaf going yellow is not a big deal. On most strains they will die early.

It's been about 10 years since I've grown hydro but I think I remember that cal/mag helps buffer your ph. If not, you still gotta have it!

Is the rockwool getting wet?
What's your res temps? If they're too high your gonna have bad PH fluctuation. 4 airstones is gonna put out some warm air into the res.

OK great thanks I have magical on hand I will add that. When the lights turn on. What should my ppm's be at roughly 16 days old? I had my TDs at 280 and it began to rise to 284 by the next day so I only added water. But some people start their solution concentration a lot stronger. I feel like my plant shouldn't be refusing 280 ppm at its 3rd set of leaves. How many ppms of magi-cal should be added to 3 gallons? By the way thanks a lot everyone its hard to do this on my own. I have done plenty of research but I second guess myself I need actual instructions.

I dropped my pH to 5.2 in hopes that it would stabilize at around 5.7-5.8. But stupidly I dropped my pH suddenly from 6.4 to 5.2. I'm hoping that will not shock my plant to much.
