I need advice on repotting, thank you for your help.

My plants, purple kush, are in 3 gallon pots, day 24 of flowering. The roots are filling the pots and i was wondering if transplanting them in 5 gallon pots would be a good idea/or not ? Should i prep the the soil with something to lessen shock ?

how do you know you need to transplant? have you seen the roots? you can transplant during flower but make sure you dont damage the roots

I can only say the 5 gallon pots are ideal.

I'm not a 100% sure but I would say it's not a very good idea. If you do make sure she is wet so that it doesn't fall apart on you when you do transplant. I always use superthrive to help reduce stress. Not sure if actually works but my transplants always go well.

If you don't need the bucket she is in right now cut the bottom out and set the whole thing on top of the 5gal you want to tranplant her into, all of a sudden she is in a 8gal bucket. stay high.

I been dealing with some unknown issues (reddish spots, some tiny winged bugs hanging out on bud leaves-iwonder what the fuck they are now, and to top it off am beyond paranoid when it comes to my girlz LoL
So yesterday i decided to investigate so i took one plant out of its pot (with a helper) and all i could see was a wall of white roots.

you can transplant anytime you like just let your medium dry out a bit them carefullly pull it out and into your new pot depending how far you are in flower not sure if your goin to see any gains IMO 2 - 3 rd week then your ok to do it your strain is like 76 days so count haw far your in

Shark, LoL good thing you mentioned the weather, holy fuck temp is at 88 in the grow room, 82 outside the room, this frigging heat is pissing me off (supposed to last a couple more days)
Garlic town must be hell if its in the eighties here LoL. 3 OSCILATING and big exhaust fan and its still going up, i think am gonna take them out to the yard (growing in shed so he wont be that hard)

yeah i'm in a shed in a box... my temps can climb but they are pretty much under control. the shed has dry wall but no insulation so i cut a hole in the dry wall and have a 4in intake sucking in air from the inside of the wall, I need one more 4in fan to have it the way i want it. watch out for in and out with your girls don't want to contract any bugs. stay high

what lighting are you using?

1000 HPS no intake fan, only door open and that is a problem as you said... i will be building a bigger grow room before next crop, fully sealed, prolly double doors. I just moved to this house and now i know the type of problems/conditions i will be facing next time around, so i will adjust accordingly. I will look forward to talking to you again (is there a way to make friends on this site, am new to rollitup and am denoob . I will check replies in a couple hours, monday night coming on soon bummer for my raiders yesterday (niners didnt do good either) but at least we still tied with the others for the division lead. NOW IS TIME TO REALLY GET HIGH

i often veg clones for 2 months (wating for their parent to finish flower) and because i'm REALLY lazy, i usually keep them in those plastic cups we all love so much. yeah, yeah, i know... lol

anyway, when i bump them up to 2 or 3 gallon bags i rip the crap out of the roots. i tear them apart so that i can lay them flat against the soil. they go wild with root growth. i'm assuming there are a few days of shock but i don't notice anything.

i'm just mentioning this for those of you who think you have to treat the roots like they are too delicate to touch.

my first grow i kept 1 of my plants in a pencil holder lol for like 2 months and it was only like 6" tall and the leaves were tiny, it was so root bound i had to rip through every single root to get it out repotted it didnt move for like a week then took off didnt hermie either,i still dont recommend it lol but nothing happened mayby i was just lucky idk

i wet the new soil before repotting but i dont flush it,depends on the soil tho,are you talking about flushing the soil the seedlings in?cuz I dont do that

Yea Im using mg potting mix with time released nutes. Despite what everyone says about mg I havent had problems with it and so far my plant is looking nice and healthy. This is my first grow so I didn't know whether you have to flush the soil the seedlings in before repotting it so it doesn't get overwhelmed with nutes an possible nute burn.

well if your using mg u might want to give it a good watering before repotting mg is usually high in nutes,i dont know if mg nutes will really flush out too much tho,ive used mg b4 its just not as good as what you could be using but will work
