I was never too sure whether I believed the existence of God, but that movie really cleared it all up for me. If theres any christians viewin this I dont wanna offend you or anything, Im just sayin what the movie did for me. I used to be scared that death was the end, but now I believe there is an afterlife, and it is tied up with the reincarnation theory, look up some reincarnation experiences and shit, its almost been proven to be true. If nothing else, its at least something that can not help me be scared about death. idk. I think im rambling now. Nother toke, bongsmilie

Any thoughts?

I wouldn't take everything you see on zeitgeist as fact. Some of it is very convincing, I agree. It's also designed to get that effect. You can compile statistical evidence on almost anything in a million different ways. It all depends on what you're trying to get across. In their case, conspiracy in many different areas. The national treasury thing is pretty factual, but the religion part of that movie is probably the most debateable of any of it.

Good point. I would participate in that debate.

Wrap your mind around the possible fact that there is no god, no afterlife, no reincarnation... just this breath in this body, simply a collection of your own life's experience as a self-aware being. Life started here and life for you will end here.

Not sayin' it is this way.....

Yea thts one of the worst possibilities. With all I've seen though, I just couldnt believe it. I have wrapped my mind around it, many, times, though.

I don't claim any religion personally but I do believe in God and heaven... Reincarnation is a hard concept for me to grasp (granted I haven't seen this movie)... think of it like this...... Can you remember last night? You flew to Russia, got drunk, and fucked a horse... you don't remember that?.. really?.... ok... but for the sake of this argument.. PRETEND that it ACTUALLY happened... now try to remember it... you can't can you? seriously try to remember it.......... Now... as much as you don't remember that happening, is as much as you WONT remember THIS life you're living at this moment... so what would be the point?... just my thoughts... again.. i haven't seen the movie, but that's how I look at that

Never seen the movie, but what I can say that almost proving an afterlife? come on? If by some crazy way they can prove it perfect, like to see the evidence. Almost proven though? Either way like alwin said Imagine every breath is your last and do what makes you happy. If you obsess about death you are already dead. Humans have created the need for an afterlife because death is so scary and unknown. That's why you have to realize all we have is us, everything else isn't realistic to depend on.

True, how does one "almost" prove the afterlife or reincarnation?

Test #1:
The subject died. No indication of afterlife activity, but we're sure he intended to call and just forgot.

Test #2:
Subject claiming to be Napoleon reincarnated placed in room with supposed reincarnation of Duke of Wellington. No hostility noted, but they did request an Xbox and spent the evening "0wning n00bs" in Halo. Possible success!

Love to see any scientific proof, the kind that doesn't involve furniture on strings, or cold reading.

There is no real scientific proof, I was just blazed. It's something to think about though.

I just wish they'd released it in its distinct parts.
Because the whole 9/11 bit tagged on at the end takes away from the research and validity of the first two parts.

At least someone can go look up Mithra, Horus and Osiris, and see that the information is accurate after the fact :)

I find it funny that one part of this documentary sets out to disprove Christianity, but another part describes a one world government and a unified currency coming into existence much like the last book in the bible, Revelation.

Not trying to disagree with this, and I would never say someone is wrong about their religion -but- I can't imagine God and Heaven being any less realistic or probable than reincarnation.

Almost everything contained in early religion was created to explain things that early mankind could not explain. The weather, for example, used to be controlled by the God(s), and people still tell their kids this s#!t because it's a lot simpler than telling them a scientific explanation based on pure hard solid facts.

Where is God? He is in you, in fact he is you. You were conditioned from birth to believe in him, and your exposure to religion will continue for the rest of your life. Everyone has a slightly different perception of him, or her, or even them. IF a God existed, the idea of him/her even having a gender is ridiculous. Everyone has a different reason or a different time that they turn to their God. Sure God gives people hope when they have none, but if God is false is this hope any good??

As I've said I don't know for sure....my faith is in this life and in how well I live(d) it. I'm sure not going to waste my life fearing and worshipping a more-than-likely fake entity. People of power and influence have turned God into a tool of morality, as every fairy tale and story has a moral to tell.

Keep the masses afraid of doing wrong - if ya don't obey a fiery eternity in Hell you'll stay.............:fire:

I take none of that movie seriously. Its more like entertainment. And it sells. Just look at all of the idiots who turn on the history channel and believes that drivel. They wouldnt be making this stuff if it didnt sell.

Actually, i believe it was made by a non-profit organization. REGARDLESS of that a lot of the main key meanings of zeitgeist are true but their evidence is partially false. I feel they are a little too hardcore on trying to get their points out there.

If you believe this movie to be good and want to see something similar, yet much more informal and much more meaningful, check out Esoteric agenda. If you like that check out its sequel Kymatica. Those movies blew zeitgeist out of the field for me. I'll post up links..

Esoteric agenda- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cvp5BcICsig&videos=IRfTgzsQ76c&playnext_from=TL&playnext=1

Kymatica- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XqMH2f0XGeU&videos=9tIFpc-IDoM&playnext_from=TL&playnext=1

Tell me how you like those if you get a chance to see em. Much love and peace :peace:

I havent watched Zeiteist yet, but Im planning on doing it today or tomorrow (been really busy).

Theres about 5-10 real good documentaries which I would recommend you to watch, Ive watched a few of them Im trying to remember the names.

Esoteric Agenda was a real good one, definitely changed my way of looking at everything. Its the strongest right after you watch the movie, but parts of it will stick with you.

There was 2-3 others which I cant remember the names...oh the Invisible Etherical realm of the earth was a good one. I think Im gonna make a thread about this so we can have all the information and documentaries/movies in one place.
