Fruit peels can culture mold within hours and you also risk mold with the use of added water to rehydrate--A better choice that works as well as the others posted but prevents mold and bacteria is hygrometer fluid which is composed of distilled water and propylene glycol. You could build the cotton balls as FDD said but just add the HF instead of the water---no mold or bacteria worries.

What I used to do was put a slice of bread in my bag and check back the next day. Nice and soft, but it all depends on how much chron you got. 2 pieces of bread for 1lb. tends to add a little weight too. my 2 cents.

Hi there! I have used an orange peel in mine in the past. Just put a small piece in the jar and check them frequently. It doen not happen really fast, but it definitely works. I had a friend years ago who used to do this to add moisture to his pounds of pot in order to add a little weight..he went a bit overboard, but this is a good technique to help make it smoke a little better. Just do not leave it in too long the peel can mold. It may smell like citrus for a bit, but this goes away.

I dry mine in a dark room hanging on a rack with a fan blowing for about a week, then alternate putting them in brown paper bags and jars. I have cured buds in jars after doing the alternating thing for a week or so, opening the lid for 20-30 minutes a couple times a day. My buds burn really well and taste fantastic. Do a search for curing buds, there is a definite technique and what will work depends on where you live. I live in a very humid place, so that is why I use a fan. It makes such a difference in the final product if they are cured well. ( I learned the hard way. :-) Good luck!

If you take the time to dry and cure slowly--you won't need to add any flavors or smells and your buds will taste and smell sweet & tasty as hell. I going to be starting a strain in Jan that some of you are very familiar with called HIJACK--I've heard the stuff smells just like fruity pebbles. I can guarantee that there's not going to be any fruit peels/banana wedges/strawberry compote's/ or any other additives or syrups in the curing of that sweet stash:bigjoint:.

In my younger days I used to use baby carrots to revive mexican brick. would take 3 and cut them in half toss in with a qp 24 to 48 hours fluff right up and no problems with mold and yep added a little weight

If I used the cotton ball method would I be able to place 1-2 in a ziplock bag with, say 6 grams, and moisten them up a little? I do not have a jar and the stuff I have is a little to dry for my taste. I want to add some weight to it and moisten it up how I like it. I wasn't sure if you have to do it in a jar or something.

Thanks for the help
