i know exactly what ya mean, great way to acquire patience isnt it...
Seriously in the begining(10 years ago), I went crazy. I was always looking at my shit. I even installed a green light bulb so I could see it at night. I was a soil grower back in the day too so that shit took extra long. In ten years I am just as excited too look at it, but now I have learned pacience. Ahhh blissful pacience. I wonder how my plants are doing right now. Maybe I should go look? There could be something wrong. They could look better than they did 10 min ago. lol just kidding. Once you get into the science of it you will wish you had more time.

I think it's normal.. I'm the same way, not using the flowering room, but I keep going in there and moving stuff and changing things here and there... I have the most balanced PH out of anyone you can think of.. that's what I do about 100 times a day... check PH and the babies... is that yellow on the leaf.... no... no.. oh, ok.. hmmm... did I check the lights to see if they were the right height? I just put the fan on them, I should check and see if they can stand up to it... they're ok.. I should check them again in like 15 minutes to be sure.. would hate to not catch it as soon as it happens to fix it..... and while I'm here, I should likely check the PH...

I thought it was just me..

Staring is fine but never screw with them constantly like that it's very very bad with all the chemicals back and forth.

Too much care is just as bad as not enough, just stare and smile that's safer for them.

If I am not staring at the plants I am staring at the clocking waiting to stare at the plants :) First grow going here and loving it.
LOL - That feeling won't ever go away either. You should see the well worn path to my closet! It's probably even worse at my house, as both myself AND my husband are very involved in the process. It's generally standing room only at the doorway.:hump:

Eh, I kinda got over it. I don't freak out about it as much as I used to. I sorta know what to expect at certain weeks of growth. I do take note of the differences and they are interesting, but for the most part it's the same routine it's always been for the plants.

I do have a bucket in my grow room that I move from the veg room to the flower room so that I can get really high in the afternoon pretty much daily and I can stare and think for about 30 minutes in each room. This gives me the opportunity to "notice" things. I've found that the 5 minute ph check wasn't enough time to notice things earlier on. So I stare at them for about 30 minutes admiring them and then I'll see little bugs that I otherwise wouldn't have noticed. Or a little hole in a leaf, or other signs of pests and problems. Catch mold somewhere, that sort of thing. It takes longer than a glance, but I don't feel like looking at them everytime I'm bored on the couch anymore. Hated that, weeks felt like months, months like years, it was ridiculous in the beginning.

Right now I'm back to buying weed so I'm anxious to get this one finished, but it's not slowing time kinda anxious like the first time.

everyday the first thing i do when i get from work is check on the girls, I'll smoke a cone and happily spend 30-60 mins just staring.
then just before bed i'll have to go check them again (just to make sure you understand) check water levels, heat, humidity etc and whoops another 30 mins has gone by lol. I love my plants :hump:
